If you want the brim of the hat out of your babies face, it is easy to just flip up and looks great that way too. It stays on well on its own, but has the adjustable strap as an option if your baby tends to pull hats off.

The string keeps it around his neck to prevent him from throwing it. AS WITH ALL CHILD TOYS/ACCESSORIES, PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CHILD BECAUSE THEY CAN BE A CHOKING HAZARD IF IT GETS CAUGHT ON SOMETHING.
