ECCPP Lift Supports Front Hood Gas Springs Shocks 4048 Struts for Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999-2004 Set of 2

I bought struts for my hood and trunk, these ones however were a little tricky. Both clips on the bar end kept getting in the way of the ball joint to slip in, I ended up having to screw off the ones from my old struts and using them. Besides that they’re nice and sturdy.

When I release the hood latch, the hood rises quickly on its own with no effort on my part.

They went on great seem to lift the hood great. As far as longevity, I just put them on so dont know.

They work great! Watched YouTube video to learn how to replace old lifts! Im an old woman, but it was pretty easy. Clips are pretty tight on new ones, used a rubber mallet to pop it in the hood knob. Put these on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Checked prices at several local auto parts stores and was shocked at how much they wanted for them.

what a difference these are from the previous ones I purchased. (stabilus lift-o-mat), They were defective and did not hold up the hood. I didnt retain the receipt and could not return them. My fault. These new ones actually lift the hood as soon as the safety catch is released. I like these!

After they were installed my hood just raised up. I am pleased with them.

Bought as replacements and they worked perfectly. Easy to install.

2021 UPDATE: Still works fine. No weakness apparent. I would buy again no problem. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Works as advertised. Ive bought this brand of strut for a few vehicles and so far have not been disappointed with any of them. Ill update my review if something goes wrong, but for now, all is great with these.
