Direct fit and good quality

This fits an 02 Avalanche perfectly. Install was very easy. Looks great.

The lid itself is very nice, color matched perfectly. The price was 1/3 the cost of the Dorman brand from local auto parts stores, and is probably the same one in different packaging. I can’t imagine this part being in such huge demand that it would have more than 1 manufacturer. The only negative was the hardware, the tolerances were off just enough so that the new hinge pin wouldn’t line up with the hinge and new springs. I just reused my original hardware and the lid fits perfect. That’s the only reason I give 4 stars.

The rod that passes through the console was a bit larger than the factory rod. I partially broke the first hole it passes through attempting to install it (2000 Silverado). I wound up using the original factory rod and would highly suggest doing so if you still have it. Other than that issue I’m happy with it overall. I didn’t really care for the OE lid to begin with. This holds my phone and stereo remote, along with whatever else I want to discard from my pockets, quite well. Four states for the bad rod diameter. That’s it though. Way better than the factory lid.
