I really don’t understand how many people want to make you think this is a complicated install. I’m a very mechanical person. However, c’mon people it took me like 2 minutes maybe to install. You don’t have to take the center console apart. That’s crazy. You slide both seats back and then lean them back and you have plenty of room. Complaints about the weaker springs? That’s a plus! My lid broke because the OEM springs were too strong and after years of it flying open it snapped off. The leather is perfect match for my interior and looks much better than my cloth covered original lid. Huge value for a cheap price.

Bought this for my 2005 GMC pickup. All went well after watching UTube video. I used my old springs and shaft. Im very happy with my new cover/arm rest.

This piece was way easier to install than I originally anticipated. Anyone that’s ever done any work on a vehicle knows what I’m talking about! Took about 10 minutes, only because I didn’t have a star driver handy to remove the console as shown in the replacement video. I’m very pleased with my purchase. The only reason for 4/5 stars is no instructions were included.

The is easy to install if you have 4 hands. So bring a friend to hold things in place and it should take about ten minutes. If not, it will take about a half hour. YouTube may be your best friend here. Good news, after buying/returning 4 other lids, the color finally matched! If I still had my old truck and needed a new one, Id buy this again! Remember, you probably need 4 hands to install this to make it easier.
