> 3 dayAlthough pricy, this device is a breeze to install. I purchased it because it supports thread, and works flawlessly in the Apple HomeKit. I can control the outlets with my phone, iPad, or Mac, and they work practically instantaneously. Eve has you download their app to initialize these outlets. Basically you click to add the device, scan the bar code image on the side of the device, plug it in, and the app will add it to your house. A few seconds later the device is up and running. Once connected through the Eve app, they show up automatically in the Apple HomeKit in the designated room. Once installed, you can use your phone or tablet to turn the switch on or off, or set up a schedule of operation. Easy to install and use. Although it is a little pricy at $40 per plug, it does work flawlessly.

> 3 dayThe setup was so very easy and the integration with homekit /iphone app is also smooth as silk. Works like a champ. When not at home, the on/off switching from the Hope app is immediate.

19-11-2024The Eve Energy plugs are generally very nice and easy to install, if you are in range of a hub. The thread networking range to the Apple TV 4K is ~ 20 feet so you have to daisy chain thread devices across the house to reach distant locations. This can lead to numerous thread devices that are unused. The Eve Energy plug can monitor the voltage and power of the socket but the voltage measurement is well hidden. There is no notification possible with a desired power threshold. Low-cost, stubbed thread extenders would be nice. Also, it is too easy to shut an Eve Energy plug off. There should be a setting preventing that action. They will not fit recessed floor sockets and will not fit well behind furniture or appliances.
