Exo Terra Terrarium Decor Primate Skull

Im currently building a dart frog vivarium and was looking for a possible hide for my frogs, while the most popular and for good reason hide is the little coconut huts i personally hate the look of them and wanted to try something new. I have never been a fan of obviously fake decor in terrariums or fish tanks and was very sceptical on this but i picked it up on sale and boy was i surprised, the color and weathering on the item really makes it look real, i sent pictures to my family and they freaked out because they thought it was real, it also has very easily entry into the skull for your animals through various different holes. Overall well worth the price and one of the best decor peices out there.

I had bought this for our snake cage, it is tiny

Its a great size, and a great piece, but inside and around the edges its really sharp. Its too sharp, really, for my leopard gecko or most other animals. I spent 30 minutes having to file down the sharp edges around the eyes. There was even a 1/4 inch piece I had to really cut off inside one of the eyes that any lizard crawling through would cut themselves on.

i got this for my year old ball python shes already pretty decent size and she loves it(i dont speak snake but i see her on it a lot). i notice many people saying the edges were sharp inside the skull, i see why that could be an issue but at least in my item they werent sharp(maybe they fixed it) anyways nothing a little sand paper cant fix. SOMETHING to note is that this doesnt replace the cave or small shelter your snake always goes to for sleep or hide for protection. i placed the skull next to her cave and she goes in and out the eyes, REALLY COOL! but at the end she goes back in her cave to sleep, so im guessing this doesnt work as a shelter but they feel some what safe in it or at least my snake loves it. makes the snake more active and something else for her to play on. what ever can make her a little happier works for me. also recommend adding fake vines to the tank they really enjoy climbing and it would cost no more than 2$ at the dollar store.

Great decoration for any terrarium.

Its cool looking but came broken in a few areas so I just threw it away so my lizard wouldnt get cut or stabbed from the broken areas

check pets mart and other local pet shops before buying, found this iteam alot cheaper at a local pet shop.

My snake loves this hideaway. My only complaint are the edges around the eyes and back. Not that big of a deal, simple fix, but still something to consider before buying this product.

Bit smaller than I thought it would be, but dang it looks awesome!
