These are not as good as CA Andromedas in terms of sound. Comfort wise I had to return these cuz after a long session my ears were hurting (your experience may differ). These by all means do not sound bad, but lack that sparkle and sound separation the campfire Andromedas have. sound desperation is still pretty decent, and if you plan to use these for gaming like Valorant, I found these were really good for footsteps and imaging. i would have honestly kept these if they were more comfortable, but none of the eartips worked for me.

This is the first hybrid IEM Ive listened to, and I hope others do not provide this tone/timbre. Above all else, what matters to me most in music reproduction is natural sounding music, or at least my perception of natural. These do not sound natural. In fact, I would describe the sound as artificial or even sterile. There is no decay to the notes, so the sound is very crisp with almost a metallic color to the sound. I can see why some would like them, because at first listen it creates a perception of detail and resolution. I tried all the tips and filters, and the stock seemed the worst to me. The reference filters are the opposite of their namesake. Ive invested a good amount of money in audio equipment over the years and the reference filters sound the least reference of anything Ive ever purchased. I tried so hard to love these listening to every possible tip/filter combination I could think of and had at my disposal, because I love the clean look and they were very comfortable for me. I enjoyed the fact that I could move about without having to worry about them losing their seal. I returned them, because in the end its the sound that matters most. Ive listened to much cheaper headphones that sound better.

I couldnt be happier with these IEMs. I walk every morning for 4 miles, so its a good hour everyday of critical listening. I stream from Amazon HD Music from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to an Audioquest Cobalt Blue DAC, and sometimes I go wireless with my BTR5, but either way it sounds rich and full. Im curious if running a balanced cable into the BTR5 would make any difference. What kinda sucks is that Im really enjoying this hobby, and Im getting a sense that Ill continue to buy more stuff in my never ending quest for audio purity. I should just stop now and enjoy the music, but I know me. Now I find myself looking for a pair of over the ears. Hey hifi nerds, what should I be looking at?

The moment I start using these FiiO FH7 IEMs, I discovered sounds that I couldnt hear with my other over-the-ear Sennheiser 660S. Very comfortable, recommended!

Love these iems, with the FiiO btr5, and FiiO lc-2.5d balanced cable and a good source, this may well be an endgame pair of iems. Yes, they are that good IMO.

Paired with a Hiby R6 Pro, these IEMs just make wonderful music. Whether it is classical orchestra, jazz, pop, trance, these well-made 5 driver monitors offer an even, open and harmonically sweet sound via the R6 Pro balanced output (and optional Fiio $60 copper balanced cable). They are also transparent to whatever amp you use, given that they turned less harmonically satisfying in the highs and mids when I paired them with a Fiio M11 or Q5S. To my ear these IEMs paired with the Hiby just make any music flow with harmonic richness and speed. Treble is controlled and rarely spashy. One of the few headphones Ive found that does brass well-you know the type of brass reproduction that has just the right amount of bite without making your ears bleed? Paired with the R6 Pros 750mW of power orchestral brass and strings just soar with the chills up your spine. Just spin up The Funeral Pyre from Basil Poledouris wonderful Conan the Barbarian soundtrack and youll hear and feel what I mean. Mids are clear weighty and well managed against bass that can be deep and tight. Imaging is also very good. As I said in my Hiby R6 Pro review, this musical setup just makes me forget about analyzing the devices and simply let the music wash over me. They are very robust feeling as well. Using Red filters (which to my ear allow for slightly smoother treble) also using large spin tips.
