A great alternative to the bigger brands of filters. It removes all tastes from my water(my goal). A bit slow but I feel that is a good thing(makes me think its actually cleaning the water).

bought kit + pak of 3 refills. have original Brita pitcher. no particular problems. 1st pitcher was pretty clear of filter material. my water at costco costs about 75 cents a gallon - havent yet figured out the savings. But so far soo good, Got some of walmart brand filters last year. they were the plastic filters but a lot smaller than a standard style - for whatever reason, I returned then to WM. Appreciate the Clear Genius attempt at innovation. BTY the CG water tastes very good

Once used, the filter is a bit difficult to get out of the holder.

This is cheaper than the brita filters I was using and makes the water taste great. They are easy to use.

I have never been happy with the solid plastic waste generated by Brita cartridges, but my water tastes of iron even with a softener. These refills are just as good, and I’m just tossing charcoal and fabric. It’s probably synthetic too, but much less of it.
