After moving into my house 2 years ago, I had the crawlspace and attic encapsulated and insulated, followed by installation of an energy recovery ventilation system and sealing of the baseboards of all outer walls. The HVAC consultants who did this work explained that my house is now extremely “tight,” i.e. the ERV brings fresh air and exhausts stale air out, and the house no longer leaks air. The last thing I want to do is upset the air pressure by choosing the wrong filter after the complicated renovations. Thus I tried the Filtrete 1500 because the top reviewer for this product said it had the lowest pressure drop. I think the Filtrete 1500 works as well as the Filtrete 1900 and Filtrete 1200 with charcoal in my house (I rate them all a 5), but no filter has been as important as frequent vacuuming. I use a Miele vacuum cleaner throughout the house once a week, then use a Swiffer WetJet on the hardwood floors. I also vacuum the curtains and baseboards about once every 2 months. If you do this consistently, dust bunnies never have a chance to form, and the air that recirculates in the house gets cleaner and cleaner over time. The extra house work pays off in better health and lower costs. After 2 years of this cleaning routine, my allergies improved so much that I stopped using antihistamines, and filters easily last 3 months.

Filters work great, and they are sized perfectly. I saved money buying them in bulk, and didnt have to walk into the local hardware chain store where a bunch of people arent wearing masks during a pandemic. In other words, I can breathe easier for numerous reasons with this purchase! They all came in a slim cardboard box - very handy storage, and Im all set for a long time.

Often now, dimensions are a bit off… to save material, many companies manufacture on the small side. These fit perfectly, preventing unwanted flow around rather than through the filter. I used to smell cigarette smoke from the basement, but that is gone with these filters. Our daughter’s allergies have improved, there is less dust building up on furniture and yet airflow is not reduced even as the filters age. A little pricey, but worth it if you have these types of issues

Great buy easy to install and love buying in bulk

Living in an apartment, I would let the management replace filters each month with their filters. Having lived in numerous houses, I know the value of clean air inside my residence. Two days after installing one of these filters, the air in my apt became much cleaner, and headaches and nasal congestion ceased. Spend the extra money if you think you are worth it.

Had to stabilize because it made a horrific thumping noise when the ac starts and stops. Not a good fit in the duct. Too expensive for that to happen.

By replacing our lesser quality filter with a Filtrete MPR 1500 filter, we immediately noticed an overall decrease in dust. There has also been a noticable difference in the air quality in our home. I definitely recommend these Filtrete MPR 1500 furnace filters!

They are a little pricey, but you need them and they are way less then risking your furnace breaking. We have purchased several times and they do the job
