Filtrete 20x20x1, AC Furnace Air Filter, MPR 1200, Allergen Defense Odor Reduction, 2-Pack (exact dimensions 19.69 x 19.69 x 0.81)

The filter contains lots of black particles about the size of coffee grounds. They tend to fall out if the filter is shaken. It doesnt seem as if the density of carbon particles is really sufficient to matter much.Theres lots of white space were air can pass through without contacting any carbon whatsoever. Plus, the path length that air has to travel through the filter is so short, that it doesnt give much opportunity for any odor causing compounds to bind to the carbon. In practice,I havent noticed much of a change in odor reduction with these compared to standard Filtrete filters even with the HVAC fan set to run continuously. But Ill probably keep buying them just in case they do.

I bought a set in December they did have loose charcoal particles, I used them anyway. I notice alot of dog fur was collected, dog smells and other smells wasnt noticable till about 2-2 1/2 months. I will continue to buy

Used on back of a 20x20 fan as a air purifer. Works good. Good price.

I buy this filter primarily to control the dirty socks order we sometimes get from our furnace & A/C. It does the best job of controlling that smell of anything weve tried.

this filter is sprayed with some kind of flaking covering. after a few purchases, i felt like it was flaking into my air and ductwork. i thought it was just a grey fabric but it’s not. it has a sprayed on coating that flakes off. i felt like i was having trouble breathing so changed and i feel better.

I normally bought this exact filter from Walmart, but I decided to do the subscribe and save with Amazon as it is more cost effective and will help remind to change the filter every three months along with the Filtrete app you can download. (Yes, I needed these reminders! Don’t judge. LOL)

I opened the box to this filter and there were tiny parts of the black part everywhere no good . Will be returning
