> 3 dayGreat little firestarter. It takes a couple of tries to get cotton light up which tells me the sparks are not really hot. It works pretty well and so does the whistle. They included a gismo for your phone that I found it be pretty useless.

> 3 dayI remember using these when I was a kid in boy scouts. Decided to buy one again to keep in my kayaking/hiking kit. I havent used it yet, as its for emergency situations, but it seems to be decent quality.

> 3 dayAdded this to my hiking backpack, never know when it will come in handy. Fire stick works great, you just need to scrape the ruler against it and it makes sparks

Greater than one weekLook, I have a lot of skills, but rubbing 2 sticks together to create fire is not one of them! Ive been wanting g a fire starter for a LONG time now. I was going to throw this in with my camping stuff, but this bad boy is going in my purse along with that emergency chapstick and 2 Tylenol! Its SUPER easy to use. It only took a few practice strikes to light my ball of paper I was using for a test. Ive been thinking of all the ways I can use this: light the paper to start my briquettes, my burn piles so I dont have to worry about volatile accelerates... its settled, Im ordering a few more

> 3 dayMy son is new into Boy Scouts so I got it for his trips. It strikes easy and whistle is small but loud!! We have to find something to put the two pieces of the fire starter on you can get a good strike with the string that it came with. I’m glad we opened it before a trip. It came with a free gift too. He’s stoked!!

> 3 dayThis fire starter stick with striker is really neat. I am not a survivalist by any means but I like to watch the reality shows and always wanted to try to make my own fire. I just got some nice dry tinder together and got a spark pretty quick and eventually I got a fire going! Very exciting. Important to have if you go hiking or camping, just in case, nothing worse then thinking you had matches or a lighter and you dont, or you have matches but they get wet. The striker has a small ruler and the whistle can come in handy in emergencies. Also easy to clip onto my bag. I definitely recommend and will be buying one for a friend who is currently transforming his truck bed into a camper and plans to do a lot of camping this summer.....its a perfect gift.

> 3 dayThis is great for any survival kit, and it’s just cool that I have! It was really fun to try out and see sparks and practice in the case of needing it, or practice looking super cool when everyone else pulls out matches or a lighter to start our next fire, but I pull out… THIS!

> 3 dayI am so excited to have this. We just moved across the USA to an area where this would be useful when camping or in an emergency. I think I’ll need to get more so we can all have one to carry around.
