I love that it gives the kid lots of facts about the animals, owls in this case. I just wish it wasnt so super bright

Was a Christmas gift for my 2 yr old grand baby. She has two other linkable animals. They work together beautifully. Fisher- Price has always been number one for childrens learning fun. My own children played with many items, and now my grandchildren are enjoying them, too. I highly recommend and will be purchasing other animals in this group of toys.

I dunno. Ok, so first, it came with batteries in it already -- dead batteries. This is negligible so my rating really isnt based on this, because I assumed it would need batteries anyway. I guess I would just rather have no batteries come with it than dead ones. But really I felt like the songs which are designed to teach letters and sounds really werent enunciated clearly enough to really hear the sounds. And they start out teaching how to spell NARWHAL. Like, for a kid just learning their alphabet, narwhal? Then there is the game. Find the drum! Find the letter F! Heres the kicker, the thing makes cool sounds and lights whether you find the thing it asked for or not. So Im not sure there is any real excitement or reward for getting the answer right. It just seems like a tedious game and maybe not the most effective. Im sure it helps children learn a little, I am also sure this will bore them quickly. This would be completely over the head of an 18 month old, except for some of the songs would probably keep their attention. But they wouldnt have any chance at the game. The game is more geared towards 3 and up.

Gifted this to my 18 month old niece who loves these. She links her other ones together and it is so fun watching them all interact with one another.

It is a giftable toy and also good for your own kids. Worth its value. Lots of musical sounds to keep the child entertained.
