Guessing quality control issue. First one didnt fit RT85 like several others with the same experience. BUT, fast return and second one within days fit perfectly. So, little frustration, but all resolved. Fluance does make very cool products.

Dimensions as I measured: Diameter = 2-3/4 (70 mm). Height = 1-1/6 (27 mm). Weight = 750 grams. The weight has a very clean, neutral design that fits with any turntable. The rubberized finish is matte black and satin-feel. The finish is slippery, so be sure to get a good grip under the ridges before lifting. The FLUANCE logo on top is a CLEAR glossy decal that stands out just enough against the matte black coating without being overt, which I prefer. As far as cover clearance goes, even with a 3 mm thick acrylic mat on my platter, there is still about half an inch of clearance when the lid is closed on my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable. The cost per gram on this weight makes it the best deal for a high mass (i.e. over 1 lb. /450 g) turntable weight. You can find cheaper weights out there, but they tend to be less than half the weight (225-350 g). I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a high mass turntable stabilizer/weight.

This record weight is nice and a must have if you have an RT82-85 it really does flatten warp albums I had a slightly warped Phil Collins and it literally instead of repeating in the same spot on the record it literally didn’t repeat and played through also there was a slight improvement in sound I would highly recommend this to everyone if you own the RT82-RT85

A 1 1/2 lb weight… Fluancs branding is barely recognizable and and marred. Expensive for what you get..

I bought this for use on a Technics Grand Class SL-1210G. The dust cover has a low profile, so this stabilizer was perfect to fit beneath it, and had enough mass to make it work properly even on heavier weight records. Be careful when ordering this item, though--the first one I received was damaged in shipping, and the rubberized coating had nicks in it on the top. (For what these cost, I expect them to be perfect when they arrive.) But the Amazon return process was smooth and I received a new, undamaged stabilizer to replace it with.

Does its job to a tee. Shouldn’t be $50.

Let me start by saying this a a very nice weight and I am very happy with it and it matches my turntable. The quality of everything Fluance makes is great, but you could probably find another brand of equal quality for half the price. And as long as you go in knowing that you’ll be very happy. Also it’s important to mention that it is low profile so you can close the dust lid while it’s on your record player.

This record weight is heavy and it helps a lot with an acrylic platter. Records can slip on an acrylic platter, with this record weight they are held firmly to the platter. Im glad I bought this one its worth it.

Very useful to insure records stay in contact with platter and torque is constant and uniform.
