I like the appearance of the Fluance 81. Seems to be made well.

Worked for 2 weeks and then the timing slowed to a snails pace. Let it run overnight like some people said and that didnt work. Other option was to manually adjust it. The preamp wasnt good enough for me to start playing with it so I decided to return it while I could and go a different direction. Looks amazing, but for the price it should function without too much effort.

Have had no speed problems and no hum issues etc. Unit sounds great and looks like a much more expensive unit than what it is. Running it with a Yamaha a-s801 amp and Klipsch rp-160m speakers.

LOVE it. Its perfect for our Airbnb. I didnt want to spend a ton, but wanted something better than a cheap suitcase-style player. This was fairly easy to set-up, thanks to the video instructions on YouTube. I got the matching speakers and we were playing records in no time! So fun. And it looks awesome!

Great turntable. Sounds phoneminal...w/ a couple of bookshelf speakers. There is a little patience required setting up properly so its not for beginners. It is definitely not giftable unless they are a little techy. Im very pleased.

The RT81 is a real good turntable for the price.

Purchased in December 2017 and the RCA input has already failed. Its a beautiful unit and sounded nice, but definitely disappointed it didnt hold up longer. Its now outside of its warranty so no help from Fluance and the repair is likely to be as much as a new unit so Ill probably just replace it.

After many months of careful research, I decided to purchase the Fluance RT81 turntable in the walnut grain. Many of the reviews mention that the assembly, needle set up and balancing takes about 5 minutes, but contrary to those claims, if you’re a newbie to the turntable installation world like me, it actually takes about 45 minutes to properly read all of the instructions, put the parts in place and get your Fluance turntable up and playing music. Any issues I had were properly taken care of by Shalamar the customer service representative. Shalamar is an OUTSTANDING representative for Fluance and made my purchase experience worthwhile. Because I was treated like a valued consumer, I look forward to upgrading and adding more Fluance audio accessories to the ones I already own.
