This meter is quite amazing... Ive always heard good things about fluke and have finally bought one. The last meter I have owned was a snap on meter which retailed around the same price. The 115 completely outperformed the snap on meter though. The refresh rate is much faster.. The gauge bar at the bottom is more smooth and flowing than the snap on meter. It has a very bright backlight which comes handy anytime your working on a car (which suprises me why the snap on one didnt have one). Then theres the feel.. The fluke sits in your hand perfectly and you can rotate between the settings with your thumb instead of dropping everything your holding just to switch it over. The meter also comes with lead holders on its backside which makes it easy to store.

I purchased the Fulke Digital Multimeter to help me with chores at my lake property. I work on everything there because getting repair people in the remote location is expensive and time consuming. As with any remote location if you did not bring with you what you need to fix something you will not find it there, sort of like going to the moon. I use this meter to solve problems with house and workshop wiring as well as boat and dock. It is an invaluable tool for the remote location.

I use a Fluke 87 at my work but I didn’t want to spend $600 for a setup at home so I did some reading and comparing and found this 115 to be exactly what I wanted for a price I was willing to pay. This is buy far better than other meters on the market . Fluke is industry standard when you are putting your life on the line testing electrical components . Why settle for less ?

Fluke is the gold standard, best quality in instrumentation. The never disappoint, have been using their multimeters for 35 years, are the cheap? Never. But I have instruments from them that have been in active field use for decades. Pretty can forget about anything else, if you hire someone for electrical work any they are not using fluke equipment then you can safely assume they probably dont know what they are doing. Is this the most advanced or expensive unit they make? Certainly not. Is it a very capable unit with the same high fluke quality? Absolutely!

I have two main issues with this meter. The first is that it doesnt really measure mA. I guess, technically, that is on me... I should have taken a closer look at the images. The second, main issue, is that there is no way to zero the meter. Even a cheap $15 meter from a hardware store has zeroing capability.
