> 3 dayThe Fluke 233 is a good meter for the intermediate user. It offers nice features but that has a major design flaw...

Greater than one weekThe meter and its features are great, I used it at home a few times and use it at work repairing cars. I have had this meter 2 years now, its held up very well, but after today its GONE, I traded it in and bought a Fluke 88. I am sick and tired of having to pull and install the batteries each time I use the meter! You have to remove the batteries from the meter and display after using meter or they will be dead in a day or 2, even if you use the meter regularly, the batteries dont last. its a shame.... Sounds petty, just swap batteries and save money from getting a new meter, but Ive had it.

> 3 dayWork at an independent euro automotive shop. Do tons of diagnostic and troubleshooting. This multimeter saves me lots of time. Would recommend to any technician. A must have compared to the new Snap-on meter that is almost three times the price.

> 3 dayIt seems whenever I need this meter and turn it on , the screen is dead! I have to replace the batteries again! This thing is a piece of crap! There is not enought warning when the batteries need replacement and it always drains the batteries even when off (due to the wireless feature). The microscopic figure on how to place the batteries is too small. Ive had to replace these batteries at least 3X a year! Im sticking to my old 87 model. At least that one last 1 year w/o battery replacement. The 233 model remote feature is nice when you need it, by I cannot trust this meter to function when I need it out in the field!

> 3 dayIf you are a tech and you dont have this meter, get it. It comes with probes and a temperature probe thats within .1 Degrees. Great for BBQ :) The removable display is amazingly useful.

> 3 dayThe wireless display is a nice feature we bought a couple of them I cant stress enough to remove the batteries when your done because both of ours were ruined by the batteries corroding in less than a month out in a work truck. We have had fluke 12s -88s and it was never an issue even after a year but for whatever reason we have had some bad luck with this model if you dont take the batteries out when your done its kind of a pain but better than a ruined meter

> 3 dayThis meter is the worst fluke I have ever owned or used. When I need it the batteries are dead. The removable display is great when it works. I would have not bought it if I had known this design flaw. It also has a corrosion problem at the batteries. The only way to keep this meter working is remove the 5 batteries after every use. Fluke should offer some type of fix for this meter.
