The assembly is a pain in the butt and the way they clamp onto the side of the tank doesnt seem very sturdy. I also noticed that over time the lamp will droop no mater how much you tighten the lamp to keep facing up.

*BUYER BEWARE* I had this set up to a thermostat for my hedgehog, it powers on and off as it needs to keep a certain temperature. I was using this lamp for 4 months until it stopped working properly, my thermostat alarm was going off because the cage was getting to cold, I thought I just had to switch out the bulb and when I put in the new bulb it started making electrical noises and smelt funky. I then looked at the older bulb and noticed the top of it was melted onto the lamp! It got so hot the METAL melted. Im so happy my lamp was connected to a thermostat that way I was alerted something was wrong, I wouldve gone all day before realizing something was up and who knows what wouldve happened. I do not recommend buying this particular lamp, I see other people complaining about it being a fire hazard after months of use. (First picture is the melted bulb, 2nd picture is what its supposed to look like, 3rd picture is the metal melted to the lamp)

The light works great. Its a nice size compared to my chicken light.

Bought for my turtle tank. I havent had any issues with it. Also has a switch on the cord ,which I like because the lamps get hot. Would purchase again.

This is the best lamp for the price so far. The chord doesnt feel super cheap and the switch is nice. Also like how it includes the clamp so i dont have to buy a stand. The clamp isnt super strong but it is definitely enough to support its own weight and stay in place.

Was nice while it worked for the two months then stopped working completely a couple days after the final day to return.

I got this for a nighttime ceramic bulb. I plugged it in and it got nice and warm when I woke up the next morning my turtle had no heat on her and she is supposed to have consistent heat! The next night I tried it again it got hot I went to bed woke up same thing happened. Tonight I tried to turn it on again and now it’s not turning on at all I haven’t even had this more than three days
