Flukers Repta-Clamp Lamp with Switch for Reptiles Black, 5.5-Inches

I had to look up a video on how this is supposed to go together. Very insecure, I would never trust hanging it on the side of any tank for fear of it falling in. The pivoting part of this isnt very strong, so I really have to be careful positioning. I walk back in the room and sometimes its pointing at the floor (I have it holding onto a window sill beside my turtle deck). The clamp itself doesnt hold on very well either; it can be knocked onto the floor with the slightest bump. I really dont see a difference between this and an adjustable desk lamp, but I would have paid about the same price either way so Im keeping it. If it ever goes out though, definitely getting something I feel more secure with!

It doesnt come with the bulb!!!! Very disappointed. Clamp on lamp fixtures are available from any hardware store, and I already have several, and all of this type come apart now and then, though this shade is very nice. It was the proper BULB for my turtles that I need!!!

I know im dumb, dont try it for tanning though

Very nice for smaller setups, however one should note that the rating of the reflector is only 75 watts, much less than the ceramic socket. However, if you need more than 75 watts you probably want a larger than 5.5 reflector anyway.

The assembly is a pain in the butt and the way they clamp onto the side of the tank doesnt seem very sturdy. I also noticed that over time the lamp will droop no mater how much you tighten the lamp to keep facing up.

Used this lamp for our hedgehog. The heat lamp does its job well, the clamp on it is a little awkward to work with and takes some adjusting to get everything right. Ive had this product for a while now and have not had to replace it.

The lightbulb part of this lamp works fine. Heres why I dont like it. The clamp part that is supposed to attach to the edge of an aquarium or tank does NOT work! It is impossible to attach it to the lamp. I watched a tutorial on youtube on how to install it, but the hardware included with the lamp was not effective. Eventually, I clamped the lamp to the tank by using the clamp on the electrical cord. Probably not the best way to do it, but oh well.

It works.. but if youre like me and have a coiled UVB light you HAVE to use the clamps to hold the light up. The dom just isnt bit enough to be able to set them on top of the cage. The clamps are a bit weak but you can use zip ties to help them hold onto whatever you using. My only other complaint which isnt really that big or a deal is the white piece.. why couldnt they paint it black so it looked better? It just looks odd to me but Im gonna use black tape to fix it so its not a big deal. Just weird the company decided to make that white after making the dome look so nice.
