Bought for my turtle tank. I havent had any issues with it. Also has a switch on the cord ,which I like because the lamps get hot. Would purchase again.

In practical terms, this isnt as good as the cheap hardware you can buy at any big-box retailer. Yes, the shades a bit heavier, but that even makes the basic problem worse: That the clamp is simply to flimsy to trust to keep it clamped above anything. Cheap sheet-metal tensioning screw that, for half-a-cent more could have been decent. The socket and switch are nice, but the rest of the hardware is just junk. Avoid.

Well clamped on cage. Assembly was only easy thanks to a video on YouTube but it’s together! Birds snuggle underneath the ceramic bulb (75w) when they so choose! I do leave it on overnight but most days turn it off for a bit - mostly because I’m paranoid! My only issue is that it doesn’t stay up but I think I can fix that by readjusting the hold on it so not knocking stars off for that. My vet recommended this over heated perches which can cause thermal burns if anyone is contemplating one over the other as I had been!

Have not been able to attach thr clamp to the lamp n there are no directions .

The clamp part that holds the light stinks. The part that is supposed to bend does not sit in the clamp good so it is not easily held at the angle that I needed. The outside of the light gets very hot so be careful what it is next to and would not leave the light on when I am not home because I do not trust it. It did come quickly, was a great price and held my ceramic heater bulb good but I would not recommend.

Worth the money.
