> 24 hourI’m So glad I chose this replacement screen (digitizer) to replace my shattered iPad 8 (2020) touchscreen. Seriously glad. The screen turned out to be the perfect thickness (after removing every scrap of old adhesive from the case). I was certain it would be either too thick or too thin and to be an annoyance at every use. It wasn’t. I was expecting the tool kit to be more or less useless. It wasn’t. It was wholly adequate and made the process safe and straightforward. I did happen to remove the home button and touch ID and replaced it with the assembly from the old touchscreen. That was a bit of an ordeal, but after taking painstaking care, I was able to successfully transfer it. I was naturally terrified when it was all together and the moment came to turn it in and run it through its paces. Everything worked! The screen accurately worked from edge to edge and I couldn’t be more pleased with this installation. Zero complaints.

> 24 hourMom of 3, each kid has their own device and we were spending $200 + on each repair. This is my 2nd purchase and it’s serious easy to use. I looked up the video on YouTube and was finished in like 20 minutes.

> 24 hourMake sure to watch youtube videos for installation. It takes professionals about 35 minutes and they have tons of experience. It took me about 4 hours. The hardest part is getting off the old glass. Tools you want to have on hand: rubber gloves, packing tape, a large piece of paper or plastic to use as a disposable tablecloth, a vacuum cleaner with a hose, and a hairdryer. (A heat gun will work better/faster, but a hairdryer works). Take your time!

> 24 hourI was so badly hoping this would be the quality iPad screen I’ve been searching for. Sadly not. Three of three replacements from all different places… they all break within days or months.

> 24 hourIm going to purchase the kit again and try one more time. I hate giving up! I thought everything was going smooth til somehow I cut the wire of the Home Button and screwed it up. As for the Touch Screen, I dont know if damaging the home button affected the sensors of the screen, but when I went to enter my passcode, the numbers were punching themselves so fast that I could not press the delete button in time cause the iPad to lock. I tried so many times, that now I have to wait 30 hours to try again. So I checked online and read that the estimate for a cracked screen repair is $250 with Apple. Walmart just happened to have a sale on Gen 9, so I purchased a new iPad for $280. What a deal! So, I figure now that I have 2 iPads, Ill try again to change the screen. Side note - I purchased an adhesive tape, because I hear the adhesive on the screen was weak. Below is the link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0817K1JQT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
