> 24 hourI got this for mortising joints in 1 pine as an alternative to a much more expensive dado blade to do the same job. I have not been disappointed. The bit is extremely sharp and even after quite a bit of use (all on pine) it is just as sharp as the first time I used it. It goes great with the Bosch Colt router (thats what I use it in). I set up a board as a guide and the bit makes a perfectly clean cut exactly 3/4 wide by however deep I want (up to 1/2 deep).

> 24 hourGreat product! I planed six 12 foot X 15 inch boards with no issues (both sides). I have cut some boards as deep as 1/4 or more. Cuts through hard wood such as oak, cherry, and mahogany quite easily. Ignore reviews claiming the bit bends, it wont unless you are being extremely foolish. Cuts through knots with no issues.

> 24 hourFantastic bit. Super sharp, smooth cutting, long shank. I swapped the stock 5/8 bearing for a 1/2 so that it is a flush cut pattern bit.

> 24 hourThis is a nice bit for routing dados into boards. Does not plunge holes very well tho. I know I should have got an up-cut spiral bit but I read an answer to a question on the product page saying it could plunge holes. It was burning its way through the holes before I gave up and used a drill with a fostner bit to finish the rest.I just hope I can get all the burn residue build up off the bit to use it for dado slots going forward. Its been soaking in goo-gone for a few days now so we will see...

> 24 hourWired that I would be prompted to use sheerness thickness and warmth in a router bit review, but here goes... I gave it one star for sheerness because its completely opaque( its a router bit). Regarding the thickness, I gave it 3 stars since it seems appropriately thick for a router bit. Gave three stars for warmth due to the fact that its a metal bit it takes on the temperature around it when not in use. Its a good router bit but, I would look elsewhere for sheerness thickness and warmth.

> 24 hourThe bit itself appeared cuts easily and appeared well made, but the bearing seized within a few minutes...or might have been from start. Alas, I failed to check before using. Granted i was mortising in white oak, but took shallow passes (less than 1/4), cleaned between each pass... And no, the bit is not inserted too deeply into the collet. I have been using a much smaller bit on same project....from a much less respected manufacturer, and its performed just fine.... Though much more time consuming. I have several freud bits/blades. Until now, Ive had great luck. Ill have to return this one.
