I suggest ordering two at a time even though they are not cheap. I go through these bits every 3-4 months so I sometimes order 2 at a time. Good thing because this is the second time the bit broke in half on the first use and luckily I had a back up. However, because I ordered it almost 5 months ago it appears I can not return it. They are not cheap and its unfortunate that I have no recourse. When the product doesnt break its fine.

Great product! I planed six 12 foot X 15 inch boards with no issues (both sides). I have cut some boards as deep as 1/4 or more. Cuts through hard wood such as oak, cherry, and mahogany quite easily. Ignore reviews claiming the bit bends, it wont unless you are being extremely foolish. Cuts through knots with no issues.

Bit seems to have lost its edge after about 15 linear feet in MDF. First of all, Im new to routing so this might be self-inflicted. I needed to route a channel in approx 15 ft of medium density particle board shelving. The bit got so hot that if I paused for a moment, the wood burned after about 20. Kept the speed below the max rated of 24K RPM. The channel was only 3/8 deep. Not sure if Im doing something wrong or if I need to find a better bit. Open to suggestions.

Seems very durable. I used it for several hours with no apparent ware. It did a nice job.

Bought this to flatten cutting boards after glue ups. In short, it works great leaving a very smooth surface. I was a little concerned with the 1/4” shank vs 1/2” but my router only accepts 1/4”. Holding up fine so far.

I got this for mortising joints in 1 pine as an alternative to a much more expensive dado blade to do the same job. I have not been disappointed. The bit is extremely sharp and even after quite a bit of use (all on pine) it is just as sharp as the first time I used it. It goes great with the Bosch Colt router (thats what I use it in). I set up a board as a guide and the bit makes a perfectly clean cut exactly 3/4 wide by however deep I want (up to 1/2 deep).

Ive been a Diablo/Freud fan since my first Diablo saw blade. I was almost about to quit woodworking because my cuts on my table saw were terrible, had a Skil saw with Skil blades. It did the job but tearout was terrible. Tried to upgrade amount of teeth, got an Irwin blade, the blade itself developed Nasty Burn marks and left Burn marks on every cut. At this point I almost gave up. Then I opted to pay a bit more and try the powder coated Diablo blades. Every single cut was professional quality! I vowed to never buy any other brand other than Freud/Diablo! Everything from saw blades to even sandpaper never let me down! I just really really wish they made carbide band saw blades!!!! Seriously, the day you try it you will never go back. With this router bit, there is absolutely NO TEAR OUT NO MATTER HOW FAST YOU GO. Which you shouldnt rush a router bit cut but even if you for some reason do, you will be surprised! I was a little skeptical because of the angle, maybe it didnt cut 1/2 all the through the groove it it does! That slight angle cleanly slices through Walnut like its poplar! The shavings look like planer shavings! This thing is a monster!!! The pictures are after I cut (8) 16 x 1/2 deep grooves on walnut and not a carbide chip or paint chipping in sight! If you get the chance to get a Freud product, youll never settle for less. The brown stuff is the walnut dust.
