Freud 42-116: 1/2 (Dia.) Bearing Flush Trim Bit

Used for the first time this weekend to trim some 1 1/2 plywood table top for my work table. It cut great. Looking forward to using it for some pattern cutting during a future project.

Bit is fantastic, easy to use, nose bearing is very helpful once depth is cut

Freud has lived up to their great reputation. This bit will be used to make an arch fill above a door in an brick house. I made a template from a 1 x 4 and let the bearing ride the template to form the 2 x 4s for the fill. This will ensure a perfect arch shape on every piece. Ive used shorter bits like this before on thinner boards with great results.

Usually Freud makes good stuff. This time it didn’t work out. The end bearing flew off after 30 minutes of use. i actually took the time to check the retainer screw and make sure it was tight before using it.

The quality and accuracy of this bit is what you expect from Freud. This is a precision tool that does its job as advertised. Thank you Freud for continuing to produce excellent bits and blades at a price that the average home woodworker can afford without giving up quality.

Good bit. Works great for flush cutting plywood in situations where you dont want to burn where the guide rubs. Like all Freud bits, came with quality carbide and a smooth bearing

This product works well with the grain on straight pieces. If you are going to go against the grain or on curved pieces this wont work for you.

This is a great tool for making flush trimming simple. Must have for anyone with overhangs.

The router bit is fine. Very good value for the prices. Getting the packaging open was a bit of a challenge. The secret bing that you need to cut the label that covers up the separation seam.
