Freud 42-116: 1/2 (Dia.) Bearing Flush Trim Bit

Pine no less, was going slow using a router table, hit the knot (I knew it was there) then one of the two blades just sheared off and I ended up throwing it away.

This is a great bit and worked well. I had one problem with it when the guide bearing froze up and I had to replace it.

This product works well with the grain on straight pieces. If you are going to go against the grain or on curved pieces this wont work for you.

I used this bit to joint 8ft long 2in thick redwood boards for a table. It performed exceptionally well and Im extremely happy with the result.

Used for the first time this weekend to trim some 1 1/2 plywood table top for my work table. It cut great. Looking forward to using it for some pattern cutting during a future project.

Usually Freud makes good stuff. This time it didn’t work out. The end bearing flew off after 30 minutes of use. i actually took the time to check the retainer screw and make sure it was tight before using it.

The bearing basically exploded with in seconds of the first use. Had to steal a bearing off a one of cheap shorter harbor freight ones which while not quite the right size, was close enough for my purposes. None of my cheap ones have ever done that. Guess thats what I get when I try to buy a better one, it ends up being crap. Did cut well, but without the bearing thats kid of pointless

This is a great tool for making flush trimming simple. Must have for anyone with overhangs.
