> 3 dayIt works so well it’s basically a haircut. I’ve been buying cheaper brushes that look just like this one for years, and yes they work, but not nearly as well as the brand name. The Furminator feels sturdier, the brush stays sharper, and it desheds even more undercoat.

18-11-2024This brush seriously does exactly what is advertised. We have two cats that are shedding a lot because it’s summer, and it’s driving us crazy. This brush immediately took off all the loose hair that other brushes could not get. It’s crazy how effective this brush is. Our cats also love it, its not too scratchy for them at all!

> 3 dayI have a short-haired cat, but his fur is thick and he sheds a great deal during the late winter and early spring. I thought I had solved the problem by saving up to buy a Roomba (of the kind designed for cat hair), and, indeed, that really helped with keeping the floors free of cat hair. But, there was still the general problem of shedding, and the Roomba couldnt vacuum the furniture or my clothes. The Furminator was recommended to me by a cat breeder with a great deal of experience in grooming cats. I ordered one not expecting too much, but I am very pleased. The Furminator acts almost like a razor (but dont worry; it is not dangerous!) and the excess fur comes off the cat quickly. It is easy to see the results, and even though my cat doesnt really like to be groomed with any tool, this one makes the job much easier and quicker.

> 3 dayWe adopted a small 10lb cat who sheds A LOT - like, fur visibly flying off of her at all times. I wanted a de-shedding tool to get out some of the loose undercoat and got this Furminator sized for Medium/Large Cats. It feels pleasantly heavy and sturdy and the shaped grips feels nice in the hand. Importantly, our cat doesnt mind us using it at all, especially if shes already relaxing. She doesnt like certain types of other brushes weve tried, but she does like this one. I think the short teeth act more like a rake than a brush so it doesnt feel as overstimulating as other brushes can. It pulls up a really good amount of the loose undercoat, and I rarely see any of her top coat getting pulled by it. She has a light grey, soft and fluffy undercoat with a darker top coat so its easy to tell the difference. I use this once or twice a week as long as shell let me use it, or more frequently for just a few brushes. Its important not to use de-shedding tools like this often (and only use them on cats with undercoats) as you can risk pulling up the top coat, too, if used too frequently. If I start to see top coat hairs being pulled I wont use it again for another few days. The ejector button doesnt really do anything, if youre curious about that feature. It slides a silicone piece forward along the metal rake but it doesnt actually push the hair off, so you still have to pull it out yourself. Luckily no big deal.

> 3 dayLiterally amazing. I bought the shed ender years ago for my other cat. So I thought Id use it again. It worked, but not like this. This got all the matted fur off my sweet boy!

Greater than one week... As I was not expecting too much of a difference from a standard brush or specialized pet comb, but it does much better than both of those alternatives, especially for the difficult to thin out undercoat. The tool is a snap to clean - and the cat took to it well, though it did not get her high grades as the bristles were not as long as other cleanup devices, so the scratching of her chin was less than satisfactory :) . The other brushes can and will do that task alone.
