FURminator deShedding Tool for Medium/Large Cats, Short Hair, Removes Loose Hair from Shedding

I cannot believe how much hair came off of our cat— that we just brushed with the $5 bush from any pet store. We are sold.

I can pull fists of fur out of my cat with this tool. He enjoys it and I am not completely covered with her everyday

We got this because our cat was having issues passing hairballs. There is a night and day difference to this and other brushes. I was a little skeptical of the price, but it is definitely worth it. Would highly recommend.

My cat hates to be brushed and we have tried several different brushes with little success. My mom recommended this brush and I was hesitant to spend $30 on a cat brush, but it is well worth the cost. It removed a lot of my cats hair and he didn’t mind being brushed for once.

We adopted a small 10lb cat who sheds A LOT - like, fur visibly flying off of her at all times. I wanted a de-shedding tool to get out some of the loose undercoat and got this Furminator sized for Medium/Large Cats. It feels pleasantly heavy and sturdy and the shaped grips feels nice in the hand. Importantly, our cat doesnt mind us using it at all, especially if shes already relaxing. She doesnt like certain types of other brushes weve tried, but she does like this one. I think the short teeth act more like a rake than a brush so it doesnt feel as overstimulating as other brushes can. It pulls up a really good amount of the loose undercoat, and I rarely see any of her top coat getting pulled by it. She has a light grey, soft and fluffy undercoat with a darker top coat so its easy to tell the difference. I use this once or twice a week as long as shell let me use it, or more frequently for just a few brushes. Its important not to use de-shedding tools like this often (and only use them on cats with undercoats) as you can risk pulling up the top coat, too, if used too frequently. If I start to see top coat hairs being pulled I wont use it again for another few days. The ejector button doesnt really do anything, if youre curious about that feature. It slides a silicone piece forward along the metal rake but it doesnt actually push the hair off, so you still have to pull it out yourself. Luckily no big deal.

Loved the product and how it actually works how its suppose to but the Furejector (the little button slide on top that ejects the gathered up fur off the comb) is absolutely pointless. It does nothing. When you press it, nothing even happens. It pushes the fur wad a few centimeters but thats about it. You have a better outcome if you grab the fur right off the comb. The company would profit more if they took that function away and just made the design without it. I could be wrong though. Maybe i just dont have enough fur packed on the comb... Im not too sure. But other than that, I love the FURminator! I can definitely tell a difference once ive brushed them because theres less shed around the house and less flying tuffs of fur when i pet or play with them. I should of bought this a long time ago but thats what i get for being so indecisive.

Fits nicely in my hand. My cat loves it. And it seems already in this first week we have been able to take off enough extra fur to make another cat!!! ha ha ha

This is the best tool I have found for my thin short haired cat. The FURminator removes a lot of hair and glides over his bony shoulders and hips. Before the FURminator, Merlin wouldnt let me brush him...not so anymore! It works well on my other cats, but I find that a two sided Dematting Comb & Deshedding Tool works better on my two voluptuous cats...one with short hair and one with long.

Id had the same Furminator for many years but lost it. I was delighted with this new one. It has. a wider area for brushing. At the same time, the handle is much easier to hold. They upgraded it and now I feel glad I lost my old one. This new one is much better. The delivery and shipping were fantastic, too.
