> 3 daySeems to be very pure. It was pure silver in color when I first started playing with it but has developed a matte coating over time. Its probably normal oxidation but I cant say for sure. Its a fun demonstration tool when discussing melting points and physical elemental states.

> 3 dayEverything I have seen online makes it look like it melts in your hand like chocolate on a hot day. In reality it took quite a while to melt, at least for me. I guess that makes sense. Ice takes a while to melt and your hand is 50f or so above the melting point. For this it is only a few degrees at best. In hot water it melts fairly quickly but takes a while to solidify. Still cool.

> 3 daySatisfied child was able to play with a liquid metal like the boomers did with mercury before they realized that wasnt a great idea :( Advice, outside and clothing you dont care about. It does wash fairly easily off some things, others not. Throw child and clothing in bath/washing machine (respectively) when done and consider double zip-lock bags for storage. Older responsible kids 14+ should be able to handle it on their own. Remember, its not a toy, its elemental gallium, respect it as such and youll have a great time.

> 3 daySon just loves this! It’s easy to melt and mold and never really any mess. He always melts it in a bowl with warm water. Wash up and clean up is a breeze. It’s been a hit with all his friends.
