> 3 dayPersonally I dont see why people are buying 50 grams of gallium for their 10 year old kids and then complaining when it makes a mess. Yes welcome to chemisty. Its not a toy. Absoulty fantastic product. As far as I can tell it is atleast 99 percent pure as stated. Also to the one guy who had trouble getting it to become solid again in the reviews. You need to introduce a solid gallium crystal to it to solidify it. Next time save a small peice to not melt down and then add it back to the gallium when you want to re solidify it.

Greater than one weekSon just loves this! It’s easy to melt and mold and never really any mess. He always melts it in a bowl with warm water. Wash up and clean up is a breeze. It’s been a hit with all his friends.

> 3 dayI bought this for my 11 year old, who loves it. However, it stained his hands, and everything that came in contact, or indirect contact with. Even after washing his hands vigorously, the grey stain transferred to his entire body, clothing and furnishings. It does clean off surfaces with more pressure than the description claims. He is still trying to wash it off his body after two days. Definitely not recommend for children. It has been thrown in the garbage after one days use and $40 spent.

> 3 dayJust as I thought-makes a mess. My child begged for this for months. I waited until Christmas, and against my better judgement, I got it. I knew it would not be as great as he hoped. It has to be heated to become fluid. However, it dries very fast and becomes a hard or crumbly mess. Hard to get off surfaces. Left a gray smear like pencil lead all around the kitchen. It will wipe away with a little scrubbing.

Greater than one weekImagine if this product was for sand, all these folks saying its a mess like the product is bad. The product is great, its proper gallium and the quality is quite pure - end of argument. If youre rating 1 star on an elemental material because its messy, you should have a better understanding of what youre buying. It does exactly what its supposed to for a great price, this is exactly what 5 stars are for. I bought sand, got everywhere, 0/5 my user error will now dictate the success of a product because I dont understand elements.

> 3 dayI read melt in your hands, like 77-79 degrees or whatever, that does not happen, youre going to look like an idiot for hours on end holding this crap in your hand BUT this element is pretty dang cool! I put it in hot tap water (about 115 degrees) and came back and it was melted. Boiling water, no time at all, separates itself from the water, pour it out (carefully, dont wanna accidentally send it down the drain its too expensive) and when it sets up again its surprisingly strong, Id relate to aluminum or maybe stronger when cooled. Its just fun to play with and I used to play with mercury, no problems, but I showed a friend and he freaked out! Watch some vids on YouTube, itll give you ideas
