This is my second attempt at a Garmin (the last was the Vivoactive 3 a couple years ago) and both have had wildly inaccurate heart rate monitors for me. As I type this, my Garmin chest strap HRM (purchased for 1/20th the price of the watch) is reporting 69 beats per minute while the watch is at 92. An hour ago, I was steady at 135 bpm on my trainer while the watch wouldnt leave the 70s. As with the Vivoactive 3, I feel like I have a random number generator strapped to my wrist which makes it pointless. I dont believe I have gotten two bad units in a row. Possibly my wrists are more bony than others, but regardless of the reason, the HRM just doesnt work for me.

Garmin quality as expected. Battery needs to be rechrged surprisingly rarely

This is my replacement for an apple watch series 6. Not because I needed to replace it but that I was fed up with the glitz but lack of performance as an activity tracker and crappy battery life. The Garmin delivers for athletes and is fun to use. 1 week of battery life makes this much more useful for traveling as well I wont be fooled by apple again.

Super happy with my new Garmin 245 ..it provides accurate reading for running data. Battery life goes for 2 days.

Extremely disappointed with the product , had ordered the Garmin forerunner 245 ,which barely functioned fine for 2cdays and there after the GPS function stopped functioning . Have ordered for a replacement . Hope that the same is delivered on priority and dont face the same problem again with the new one .

Garmin and Fleet Feet both do a good job of hiding negative reviews, but this watch is garbage. Its a music watch that doesnt play music. You can allegedly download Spotify playlists, which is why I bought it, but you cant actually do it. Turns out everyone has that problem. Garmin has whole pages devoted to it on their website. Apparently it has been a problem for a year. My watch wont sync, period. Its useless to me. Its garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT DOES NOT WORK

I held off buying this for a while and I really regret that. The garmin watch and app is a step up from what I’ve been used to in terms of analysis of my runs and overall fitness. I’m most pleased at being able to leave my phone at home when I’m out running. They hooked up to my Powerbeats headphones with minimal fuss. The GPS accuracy is spot on. My only slight qualm is that the sleep analysis is way off for me. The watch appears to think I fall asleep as soon as I get into bed and that I don’t wake up until after I’ve had breakfast. My resting heart rate is pretty low (39) and there’s not much difference between me being awake or asleep which I think may be a factor. Overall, great watch that I wish I’d bought a year ago
