Prior to this watch, Id used the Forerunner 645 for three years. This watch is noticably heavier, shorter batter life and lager (thickness) but is also made of more robust materials, has the Pulse oximeter, and additional metrics like respiration rate, ECT. Theres a lot to like about the watch, but time will tell if I use all the additional features to augment my training (no training lately since no races!). The basic features for tracking runs, listening to music, health stats are unchanged, so I really could have been happy with the 245 or another 645.

Large face, good to scroll through and comfortable to wear

This is my second garmin watch. I do love the product. I really wasnt sure about using the buttons rather than having a touch screen but it was very simple to learn. The app is great! The only thing I am a little disappointed with is the solar power function of the watch. I spend a lot of time outside and was hoping that this would increase the battery power substantially. I do not notice a big enough charging difference between the days I spend a lot of time outside to the days I do not. I spent extra money for this feature specifically, I cannot say that it was worth it. Otherwise very happy with my purchase!

The watch itself works okay. The workout and GPS tracking are top notch, but admittedly the physical buttons are annoying. Its hard to find/access what you need to access promptly. (Example: basic things like Alarm Clock or Timer)

I owned a Fenix3HR Sapphire for about 5 years and upgraded to this. The larger face is nice along with some new bells and whistles. Battery life is no better than the 3 even with the solar gimmick, probably worse. Im assuming this glass is softer than the sapphire. My old watch never got one face scratch in the 5 years I owned it. This is not the same. Still a good watch but have been more conscious of when not to wear it.

Health features are unmatched. I only wish notifications supported images and not just text.

I bought this to replace a 735XT, which I cracked the screen on it a bike crash. The sleep tracking, heart rate are much better on the 6. The ox sensor, seems to work sometimes and not others? Also, this is a bigger heavier than the 735XT and I dont think the default band is ideal. Looking for a better band, open to suggestions!

This watch has a great style, functionality and the interfaces are excellent. Easy to read and use.

The learning curve for the watch and software is huge. For an $800 watch, the GPS data was not accurate at all. I tried troubleshooting for 10 days with no luck. To be fair, I returned a Fitbit for the same reason. Maybe because I live near the ocean in Miami? Altimeter and sleep tracking weren’t accurate. Overall, watch isn’t comfortable. How can I trust the stride / lap swim extended data, if GPS is not even close to accurate? See photo attached.
