The Fenix 6 is a great piece of kit. It does what it says on the tin! It does NOT have the music feature, contrary to what I thought (my fault)....you need the 6S, 6 Pro etc for music. It also does not have headphone connectivity. Apart from that the watch is superb and works well with Garmin connect. The only negative is - Sleep tracking....it sometimes fails to track sleep.

Ive been eyeballing this watch for a while now and finally got it. It does everything you need and then some. Also really good looking and comfortable to wear (for me).

Love it. Perfect size, does everything I want it to. Heart rate is a little off sometimes but to be expected. No issues so far.

Alright so its been a few months and I can definitely say its a little pricey. Yes yes a few of you will be saying Duh but let me explain what I expected for 800$. For starters the battery life is great. It says over 20 days until the battery dies on a full charge with a normal set up. (Meaning if i put it on battery saving mode itll last double the amount) The battery is always Key to me buying a watch. Why? Because I hate worrying about having to charge something that dies constantly which is why i dont go for Apple or Samsung watches. The Garmins battery life makes apples/samsung battery look like a joke. But theres reason. If you are buying this watch expecting something from Sansungs screen, you might aswell rethink your option. This watch is practically military watches. Shows the time, location, weather, heart rate etc., but it doesnt have a nice colorful touch screen a samsung watch would have. So if you are expecting that, dont buy it. If you are looking for something that lasts long, looks like it can be rocked with a suit, and durable quality not worried at all about it breaking then this my friend is for you. If you love being out and about whether its hiking, running, climbing, rowing, cycling, military, etc., then you need something powerful. Something that you dont want to carry around thinking oh shoot if i fall i might break my watch which is one of the main reasons why I dont buy apple or Samsungs. I work in heavy equipment and am a mechanic that hikes alot. I NEED something durable. I want to be part of the smart watch gang and know I can wear it without being worried about it. This watch man. Its so durable. No joke it looks like new still to this day after having it for months. The sapphire material definitely comes in a clutch. The watch has maps downloaded in them and also music. So if you loved the feature of control your music through your watch for the phone, kiss it goodbye. Because the way it works now is that its practically its own device. You download your own music and have access to them. Maps offline is definitely going to come in clutch one day when i have no phone. I was able to pull up maps without needing a phone and that was amazing itself.

Coming from an Instinct Tactical this is a nice upgrade before the Instinct 2 that now has VO2 max and all the sports tracking features. Depending how far I run (usually 12-15 miles a week) the battery lasts about 8 days with gps, heart rate and pulse ox while I sleep.

I bought this watch on January 16th, and immediately started having problems with it. When I received it, it had problems connecting with the Garmin Connect app. By May, all of the data was corrupt coming out of the watch. The body battery would drain to 5% every day, wouldnt register that Id slept during the evening at all, and the body battery wouldnt recharge. If I reset the watch, the body battery would go to an assumed level and do the same thing throughout the day. I reached out to support and had ongoing emails back and forth as they asked me to diagnose the problem with their watch. I finally go them to agree to replace my watch after a month of this. Sent the watch back, UPS shows it was received at Garmins facility 2 weeks ago, yet Garmin cant seem to find it so I havent been shipped out the replacement. So its been almost 6 months since I purchased this watch, and I dont actually have a functioning watch now.
