GPS never worked. Awesome other than that. But I had to return it because of that issue.

This might not be Garmins latest watch, but it still has lots of features for anyone who is serious about tracking their fitness. I especially like the training load feature, which tells you which areas of your fitness needs focus and the recommended workouts feature that can tell you what type of workout to do next. It is like having your own running coach on your wrist.

Had a Fitbit previously, but decided I wanted more advanced metrics and didn’t want to pay for a subscription service.

Bought for my wife and she loves it. Wanted because it was rated for hiking. Looks nice and easy to read. The best part is you can get it for wi-fi only without the cell phone data so you wont need to pay to have it connected to your phone service. Would highly recommend the Garmin watches over any other.

Alright so its been a few months and I can definitely say its a little pricey. Yes yes a few of you will be saying Duh but let me explain what I expected for 800$. For starters the battery life is great. It says over 20 days until the battery dies on a full charge with a normal set up. (Meaning if i put it on battery saving mode itll last double the amount) The battery is always Key to me buying a watch. Why? Because I hate worrying about having to charge something that dies constantly which is why i dont go for Apple or Samsung watches. The Garmins battery life makes apples/samsung battery look like a joke. But theres reason. If you are buying this watch expecting something from Sansungs screen, you might aswell rethink your option. This watch is practically military watches. Shows the time, location, weather, heart rate etc., but it doesnt have a nice colorful touch screen a samsung watch would have. So if you are expecting that, dont buy it. If you are looking for something that lasts long, looks like it can be rocked with a suit, and durable quality not worried at all about it breaking then this my friend is for you. If you love being out and about whether its hiking, running, climbing, rowing, cycling, military, etc., then you need something powerful. Something that you dont want to carry around thinking oh shoot if i fall i might break my watch which is one of the main reasons why I dont buy apple or Samsungs. I work in heavy equipment and am a mechanic that hikes alot. I NEED something durable. I want to be part of the smart watch gang and know I can wear it without being worried about it. This watch man. Its so durable. No joke it looks like new still to this day after having it for months. The sapphire material definitely comes in a clutch. The watch has maps downloaded in them and also music. So if you loved the feature of control your music through your watch for the phone, kiss it goodbye. Because the way it works now is that its practically its own device. You download your own music and have access to them. Maps offline is definitely going to come in clutch one day when i have no phone. I was able to pull up maps without needing a phone and that was amazing itself.

I love this watch but I am disappointed in the glitches. I spent nearly $1k on the watch and have had it for only two days. The weather app does not work. Garmin support informed me this is a recurring issue they are working on. Further, I’ve had to re-sync it several times throughout the day so that I can get notifications from my phone. My text notifications are still not coming through. This is extremely disappointing for such a substantial price. Garmin has several issues they need to sort out with this watch. I absolutely love the color of this one and love the features on it for running/hiking/etc., but with glitches already it is definitely not worth the steep price.
