Garmin Edge Extended Out-Front Mount

A strong and sturdy mount. Doesnt tighten so tightly that it wont move in a crash (so, a good thing). One Mark lost due to being weirdly difficult to get pointing absolutely straight. May not be a problem on all handlebar shapes.

Garmin Out Front Mount comes with a 2.5 mm Allen hex wrench, both thick & thin rubber shims. My 22.5 mm diameter MTB handlebars expand out to 31.75 mm diam. in center where I installed the mount using just the THIN rubber shim. Tightened down screw almost to its stop, and it grips the bar perfectly at 31.5 mm diameter point.. Edge 500 rotates to lock in securely, either forward-back position (or rotated 90 degrees side-to-side). The Mount appears to be sturdy and attractive

In a world where all mounts leans left, its nice to have a mount that leans RIGHT. that way you can install a couple of things relatively close on a bar or bar extension. Seriously, I cannot put a TridenX light and a Garmin computer on the same bar using the left offset mounts. This relieves the situation.

Ich habe die Halterung auf meinen beiden Rädern, einem Rennrad und einem MB im Einsatz. Dadurch ist mein Edge Fahrradcomputer immer im Blickfeld. Die Montage ging sehr einfach von der Hand, aufgrund der variablen Durchmesser der Klemme auch auf verschiedensten Lenkern einsetzbar.

This works great. I like seeing my computer further out so that I can read it in attack position. One disappointment, it doesnt work with the Varia headlight. Only the standard out front mount can be adapted per Garmin.

Usual good Garmin build quality. Seems a bit expensive for a small component, but the cheaper alternatives are not as good IMHO. I like to have my Edge 1000 above the handlebars and find this one is much better than some of the alternatives I have tried. The Edge with the silicone protector on it does not interfere with the stem bolts which can be an issue with others.
