Garmin Edge Extended Out-Front Mount

My rating is solely based on the balanced position on which my Garmin Edge 1000 sits when attached to this mount - or rather lack of balance. This mount positions the Garmin crooked, both side to side (tilted), and as well it clicks in at a slight angle (screen readout is not completely horizontal, slightly tilted to the right). This may not bug someone else, but for me its a fatal flaw and it reeks havoc in my OCD mind! FWIW, my old Garmin mount for my Edge 510 did the same thing, but not as bad. Anyway, Ive since ordered the K-Edge mount, and MAN, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The K-Edge is perfectly balanced, a better mount in every way (5 stars for it).

I have one of these mounts on two of my bikes. It works great once you have the right rubber gasket and/or taping around the handlebars for a good, tight fit. I would recommend to Garmin to provide an additional gasket with thickness in between the two already included.

More heavy duty than the non-Garmin one I previously had that broke.

I tried three other non-Garmin mounts for my slightly larger Edge Explore, thinking I could get away with a cheaper price, but each had flaws that made them unusable for the Edge Explore. The Garmin mount sits flush with the top of the handlebar so the handlebar does not get in the way when you turn the GPS unit for mounting. Also, this mount comes with two rubber (not hard plastic) adapters that have matching grooves within the handlebar ring, ensuring a solid, cushioned mount for your GPS unit.

Die Aero - Halterung ist eine tolle Alternative zur normalen Halterung des Garmin Edge Explore. Das Navi kann zügig in der Halterung fixiert werden und sitzt dabei bombenfest.
