> 24 hourI have been an Apple Watch gal for as long as smartwatches have been a thing. However, I mountain bike and spend a lot of time outdoors, and wanted something a little more durable and with a better battery. I considered the Apple Watch Ultra however, it only came in one size and I was worried that size would be too large for me so I decided to try this Garmin (my boyfriend has always had Garmins and loves them). To skip all the mumbo jumbo, I ultimately returned this watch and did end up getting the Apple Watch Ultra, and Ill give some pros and cons to tell you why! Pros: - Battery life: this thing really does last forever. The Apple Ultra is solid but I do charge it every 3-4 days. The Garmin lasted a week+ - Activity Tracking: I feel like the activity tracking was a tad more accurate than the Apple Watch, although the Ultra does have GPS so this could just be in my head, but my boyfriend and I come out with different stats after bike rides (slightly different mileage, slightly different elevation, etc.) If youre looking for something with precise tracking, since this was Garmins forte, I would probably lean that route. - Sleep Tracking: Because the sleep tracking is built into the Garmin I feel like I liked it better. The Ultra doesnt have a built-in sleep track app so I had to download one on my phone and I have to set it every night. Cons: - Creature Comforts: I would say this was my biggest qualm with the Garmin. I am so used to the creature comforts of the Apple Watch I had a really hard time with the Garmin. Things like: - If your phone is unlocked and open when a new notification comes through, your Apple Watch wont notify you. The Garmin would. - If you arent looking at your Apple watch, the screen wont light up. The Garmin would (in the age of Zoom meetings, notifications would pop up with my head resting on my hand more often than I wouldve liked with the Garmin lol) **Also with the Apple Watch you can choose which apps send notifications to your watch. You dont have this option with the Garmin so if you dont want certain notifications going to your watch, you have to turn them off on your phone too. - UI: The Apple Watch and Watch App are so much more user-friendly in terms of the interface. The Garmin is very bare bones, with not a ton of customization options for the face, etc. The Garmin app is kind of a pain in the rear to navigate and I just feel like Apple has done a stellar job making their apps and products very user-friendly, I missed that when I had the Garmin. - My Apple watch has a Strava app so I can track my rides on my watch without even having my phone with me. There was a Strava app for the Garmin I believe, but you still had to start the ride from the phone. - Music, phone, etc.: You can answer calls on the Apple watch and control music, cant do these things with the Garmin. - Band Options: Apple and Amazon just have more options for Apple watch bands. If youre someone like me who likes to swap out the bands pretty often and like really neat-looking ones, sorry to say, there are way less options for the Garmin. (P.S. Amazon has some phenomenal dupes for the very expensive Apple Watch bands) Comparable Features: - Durability: Both watches are very durable. Ive definitely taken some diggers with the Apple Watch and dont even have a scratch to show for it. **I am a 27-year-old female. I have smaller wrists and the Apple Watch Ultra fits fine. Dare I say the big screen is even kind of nice?? The Garmin also fit very nicely. If you want something a little smaller and thats a thing you definitely DONT want to compromise, go with the Garmin.

> 24 hourBest watch Ive ever owned. I owned the garmin fenix 3 and the garmin 935. This watch blows them out of the water. No regrets.

> 24 hourThis watch truly does it all, and it has been a lifesaver for me--probably in a literal sense. Its comfortable and it looks great, especially with customizable watch faces. Battery life is superb. Super easy to use, and they seem to have thought of everything (example: turning off touch screen while youre recording an exercise activity but still allowing scrolling/functionality with intuitive button presses). The data collected are really helpful, especially if you sync them with Strava (subscription costs extra). I bought the HRM-one heart rate monitor to pair with it and it works very well. I had been concerned about the accuracy of the watchs HRM readings, but it turns out they were mostly pretty dead on. With the strap I also get all sorts of useful info about my gait efficiency. I really want to give this 5 stars. THE ONLY ISSUE is the fitness tracker/recommendations. I have been working out A TON ever since I got this, which was sort of the point. This watch wants me to slow down and do more low aerobic activities. As a result, for two weeks it has been warning me Im unproductive and my stats (VO2 max and heat acclimation) have backslid inexplicably even though Im working out all the damn time (in summer heat, no less). Sure, I may be overdoing it a little, but this watch cant seriously think Im trending backward in terms of my fitness level. I appreciate the amount of thought and expertise that apparently went into these metrics, but how about some credit for putting in a whole lot of work?? I was hoping the HRM strap would help the app recalibrate its expectations based on more accurate biodata, but if anything this problem got worse. Garmin product support specialists were awesome and friendly, but all they could tell me was to take these automated assessments with a big grain of salt. I didnt buy this watch expecting it to be my personal trainer, but to the extent it wants to be, it comes up woefully short. OH, and also I think I may be allergic to the blue titanium bezel and clasp, so if your skin is sensitive to certain metals, be careful.

> 24 hourThe watch is outstanding in every capability. It has outstanding battery power holding a charge for 30+ days, tracks almost every activity you could think of and some you probably did not think of. The only thing that could have been better written would be the manual.

> 24 hourFor starters, battery life, omg. There must be an Energizer Bunny inside. Functionality, well mostly the app. Ive improved sleep and stress with the app. Life changing, really. Nice work Garmin.

> 24 hourGreat watch. I had the fenix 7 solar sapphire, however it was really too big for 6.5 wrist (subjective of course). The only real grip I have is that the band choices are very limited compared to the larger watches in the fenix line up. Why no titanium bracelet options? I get about a week of battery before Im down to 20%. Run, golf, ride, workout tracking...etc. Seems slightly less then the larger Fenix 7, but not by much. side note, purchased additional Nylon black strap from Garmin. I do like it, just would like a titanium band as well.

> 24 hourNew features such as a longer battery life, touch screen capabilities, additional workout activities have improved the Garmin experience. The Garmin 7, is a work horse that is comfortable in any environment whether you’re on a trail run or out for a meal in an upscale restaurant.

> 24 hourAccuracy and motoring is good. But battery life not that good (compared to Huawei watches). Watch face luminous / lighting too very low unless under the sun (not inside house)
