I ended up returning this after seeing what the screen looks like in real life. Almost like a retro game or some kind of graphing calculator, very poor quality “graphics” and it really ruins the watch. Feature wise, it’s incredible.

Its a lot of money, if you not gonna use/need it, I would recommend an apple watch

Accuracy and motoring is good. But battery life not that good (compared to Huawei watches). Watch face luminous / lighting too very low unless under the sun (not inside house)

I purchased this Fenix 7 to upgrade from a FR 935. Overall the Fenix looks and feel more premium, is more like a general use smart watch. I perceive the screen to be brighter, it is in fact a little bit bigger. I was expecting some improvements in the section for Strength Training, they made some changes but nothing remarkable. I have faced some connection issues from time to time, nothing crazy, but it shows the not connected (to the app) message some times. The widgets are nice, sleep tracking tool is good, you need to get used to sleep with a watch as big as this on.

I only bought this watch because I needed an upgrade to support my Stryd pod. This is such a hilarious expenditure but I was feeling confident at the time so I went for it. Garmin has the most bizarrely confusing and unnecessary breadth in product line. They need 3, maybe 4, watches but somehow they keep adding more and more and more to the point that there are maybe three dozen options. This is really silly and makes it difficult for the layman to understand what he should be buying. Anyway, even the smaller version of this watch is hilariously bulky. They make the claim of something like 14 days battery life--not even close. Apparently its 12-14 days if you disable all features. Even for basic running mine drains pretty easily getting closer to one week battery life. I thought that all this extra tech would be an improvement over the 4S or whatever super cheap basic Garmin I had--nope! When traveling long distances the watch still gets confused for the first activity, just the same as cheaper Garmins, and will muddle or lose the majority of the GPS portion of an activity. The HR monitoring is more-or-less identical to cheaper models. If you are using a foot pod and want to design a custom UI... this screen is tiny. Even with power-pace-time-distance I need to really inspect it to see whats going on since the screen is relatively small and theres no way to actually fine tune font sizes or anything. Im sure there are some cool features here but with this price tag you had better be sure that youre going to use them. As a premium running watch its a disappointment.

I’ve had 3 garmin and this one is by far the best and, for me, the main reason is because it offers a LIGHT! Not a brightness of screen but an actual light on the side of the watch. I can’t tell you how unique and useful that is. If you are use to garmin then you know all of the Normal features. If you are not then I wouldn’t do it justice by explaining but I can say the things that out do the Apple Watch. 1. Battery life, you can get this thing to last a year. I typically go a couple months without having to charge. 2. Has a built in flash light. 3. Solar power. This isn’t as powerful but it does add a bit of battery to it that you don’t realize. It allows you to check how much solar it’s been getting and how much that’s added. 4. Gets notifications with email, text, calls etc. 5. You can load music, use Spotify and pay with it. 6. Oh yea, it has the ability to have touch screen if you choose! The Apple Watch is better in 2 categories. 1. The touch screen is “better” but it has to be because that’s the way it’s designed with buttons and how you can use it. And it’s ability to take phone calls.

First off, this isnt a cheap watch, so I was apprehensive about purchasing it. Read a ton of reviews and did a lot of research. This watch is worth every penny. The battery life is unbelievable. You really dont need to charge it for days even weeks depending on usage. The screen is large enough while not being too large. I love the entire Garmin ecosystem. Ive purchased a bunch more sensors for heart rate, biking, etc. The data is accurate including the GPS tracking. Just a great watch.

There are 7 days in a week. And the fēnix® 7S Solar multisport GPS watch is built to go strong for all of them. It’s styled for smaller-sized wrists. And its Power Glass™ solar charging lens gives it the battery life to sustain a whole array of athletic and outdoor features. Use trusted button controls or the new touchscreen interface to access selections. Gain performance insights and metrics that help you manage your exertion and build stamina. Optimize recovery with 24/7 health and wellness monitoring of heart rate, respiration, stress, sleep and more (this device is intended to give an estimation of your activity and metrics; it is not a medical device). GPS and outdoor navigation sensors guide your outings off the beaten path. And to complement your tamer days, connected features include smart notifications when connected to a compatible smartphone, music storage and Garmin Pay™ contactless payments in supported countries and payment networks.
