I bought these to replace some florescent screw type bulbs and WOW, what a huge difference! These lights are so bright. I am very pleased with my purchase and so happy to finally be able to see!

I bought these at Home Depot. These are a game changer as long as you dont need them to be dimmable (they are not). They put out the equivalent amount of light as other 60w equiv. LED bulbs and they are really compact. Dont let the small shape fool you. The Bulb shape LEDs are just using that shape because it is more identifiable to customers. Dont forget that they are cheap too even though they are from a well known company like GE. 5000K is a very cool blue light. If you want something warmer and more orange I would go with the 2850K versions. I cant comment on their longetivity since I just bought them yesterday but since its Home Depot, I can probably return them if any of them turn out to be duds.
