GE Lighting CYNC Outdoor Smart Plug, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Outlet Socket, Weather Resistant Plug, Voice Control Outlet, Works with Alexa and Google Home

We are very happy with this product. It works great with Alexa and does just what we need it to do.

I bought this plug to control an outdoor fountain through Alexa. At first, it connected to Alexa just fine, but after a couple of months, it stopped responding to commands through Alexa. It would still respond to commands through the GE Sync app, but not Alexa. I removed it from both the GE Sync app and Alexa, and reinstalled it after a factory reset. It connected fine to the GE Sync app, but then would not connect to Alexa. It took a couple more weeks before it finally just showed up randomly in Alexa. After about a week, though, even though it still shows up in Alexa, Alexa cant control it at all just like before. I also use several GE Sync light bulbs, and Ive had no problem connecting them to Alexa because you can connect them without using the GE Sync skill. Thats the problem with this plug is that you have to connect it using the skill, not natively like the light bulbs, and the skill gets 1 star in Alexa. This is really disappointing for a name brand like GE, and Im just going to relegate this to Christmas light duty and get some no name brand for the fountain.

I LOVE this smart plug , it was so simple to install , I’m not tech savvy so I usually don’t set anything up but 5 minutes and my outdoor lights can be turned on from inside the home , can’t say enough about this item , it’s a must have

I had a unreasonably difficult time getting the schedule set up, granted this is my first smart plug. But after many trial and errors I got it figured out and the support line was also helpful.

I’m still exploring the many ways I can use these… love them

Needed this for my outdoor fountain. Works perfectly and I can control it from inside the house with Alexa. Great outlet.

The desctiption said no hub needed and that is right, but I had to get in touch with the Alexa Department to get it working. Be persistent.

This plug was very easy to set up. I had to download the GE Cync app. Followed the instructions, which included linking to Alexa voice control. Took less than five minutes. Now I can turn on the lights on my deck from inside my house. Very pleased with my purchase so far.

Great item. I love being able to control the lights outside right from your phone. I loved this so much I bought one for our front yard as well. GET IT.
