Greater than one weekI purchased this to fix a toilet that was periodically refilling throughout the day due to an insecure seal under the flush canister. Im not much of a handyman, but I took a chance on this since it was only about $5, much cheaper than calling a plumber. It turned out to be an easy fix, and the toilet has not been losing water since installing the new canister seal about a month ago.

> 3 dayThis seal took five minutes to install, and it fixed my constantly running toilette problem. A new Kohler fixture that in less than a year developed the running water problem. Now its one of the new efficiency models, so I could not run out and drop a conventional Fluidmaster replacement in. I asked my plumber( as he was replacing the old cast iron under my kitchen sink) about it; sounds like a bad seal to me his reply. I matched that with the diagram on the web and concluded it was worth a shot. But, Im not going to run all over town looking for a seal that only fits a specific make and model. Amazon has never let me down,so type the part number from the Kohler manual in the search box and bam; six bucks at my door in two days (Prime Member). Next one click. Installed it in five minutes and my water headache was gone. For the dollars involved one of the best purchases I have ever made. My praise is not for Kohler but for Amazon in saving me gas, time and the fear of having to pay a plumber for something that in the older models was a easy fix.

> 3 dayIts worth the price, dont waste your time on the cheaper knockoffs. Just get the goods and sleep well at night. No more leaking or running water. A quick you tube check and you can do it yourself. Sixty plus yo woman here, not a quick learner, but a good learner. Look everything up, your system, how-to etc. Do it once, do it right. The cheaper ones buckle, dont waste your time and money.

Greater than one weekI wanted to have an extra gasket for my toilet.

> 3 dayAfter dealing with a slowly disintegrating gasket for months I finally purchased a replacement. The old one looked like it was made out of polar fleece. Apparently, the original natural rubber seal was damaged by the big clorox chlorine tabs I had put in the tank a while back. Replacing the gasket took almost five whole minutes from start to finish and now the occasional refilling on the toilet tank is gone and the physical effort to push down the flush handle went from a ridiculous number of pounds to a couple of ounces. This new seal appears to be made of a substantially more durable silicone rubber than the natural rubber of the original. The only complaint I have it that I should have replaced it a year earlier when I first noticed increased difficulty pushing down the flush handle and occasional sound of the tank refilling without reason. I bet it wasted thousands of gallons of water. Ugh! Im planning on buying extras and taping them to the underside of the both toilets lids so I dont have an excuse to delay replacing them the next time! If you have a toilet that uses this seal, it is a must-have upgrade even if you dont think you need it. Recommended without reservation.

> 3 dayFor me, getting the chain off of the cylinder took a while. Gasket works. I took a leap of faith that this part would fit my Kohler toilet. Whew, it did.

> 3 dayI ordered one of these gaskets along with a whole new flush assembly. On a whim, I tried the gasket alone before replacing the whole assembly, and it was less than five minutes start to finish. Great tutorial videos on YouTube. Great update to a bad factory gasket.
