> 3 dayI dont write a lot of reviews but this one is to help people. The biggest most important problem. THIS SCREEN WILL BURN IN. I bought this monitor as a replacement in a pinch. Price was right and it was the same size. I swapped my bad monitor out with this one made a few adjustments and was good to go. I have been using the same Microsoft background for a decade. Never had a problem. After about 2 weeks I was in Photoshop and I noticed my desktop background in PS. I thought for some reason PS had some translucent option enabled or something. No I noticed on every application. I managed to get most of the burn it to go away using a pixel stimulator on YouTube. I changed desktops to something very dark. Then days later I notice the same issue with some TEXT documents that have been on my desktop for years. The white documents had burned in. Again I attempted the fix as best I can. I have had to install various programs to keep the monitor from burning in as well as swapped all cables. I currently have a program that makes my desktop icons disappear in 20 seconds, and a program that forces a pixel stimulation for 2 seconds every few hours. I finally got ahold of RMA and they said they would replace the monitor but this should not have happened on such a modern day monitor. I have a monitor that is 15 years old that has never experience burn in. Also. The power management for the monitor is borked. When you switch inputs the monitor is considered disconnected. So if you have multiple monitors all your icon shift everywhere as it thinks the monitor is not there. This also occurs during a power shut down with a time out. When the monitor comes back on. All your icons might shift everywhere. For the price monitors now. spend a little more. I know that 165hz sounds tempting as the competition is 144hz, but just stick to a better quality monitor at 144hz. You will have few problems.

09-06-2025So the reason this gets not a 5 is cause of the auto brightness feature that comes out of the box. This cant be changed until you download the latest driver for the monitor from gigabyte and after that it fixes itself. Also g-sync does work but like I said mine needed to be updated before that. For the value I believe this is one amazing monitor but gigabyte has already made a better monitor thats now at 170hz and is the same for better picture performance. So go and check that one out, instead of this older model.

> 3 dayIve been using my Gigabyte monitor daily for the past 6 months with no issues. I had a slightly smaller monitor before this one. I found the larger size helped me to see better to play games. Im going on 60, so I do have some issues with my vision. I have adjusted the lighting to go down in the evening so it doesnt damage my eyes. Ive seen negative reviews that the Gigabyte monitor isnt bright enough...not true! This monitor is plenty bright enough! Any brighter and it would damage your eyes! I love the angle of this monitor--it seems easier on the eyes. Strange, I dont seem to appreciate it as much using it every day, but my power went out yesterday and I had to use my laptop monitor instead. Boy did I appreciate my Gigabyte monitor then! Couldnt wait for the power to come back on!!! 5 STARS!

> 3 dayThis is a good price for a low end monitor but it is very nice and my games look great using a 1070 gpu 1440 and 165mhz. You don’t need to go spend a bizillon dollars on a gpu and 4K monitor this one is just fine. New with the curve and I like it better then flat for gaming

> 3 dayThis monitor looks like it should cost much more than it does, and it is very responsive for both gaming and IT remote work tasks(remote desktop connections have never looked sharper!). My main issue was the time it took to find or calibrate a custom vibrant color mode that didnt oversaturate reds to the point of looking pink, though, the default mode or other presets should be sufficient for most people. It has enough ports (I connect one macbook pro over hdmi @60HZ and one PC with Display Port @ 65HZ), and color customization options such as the black equalizer allow very fine control over the brightness and overall picture quality. The stand is sturdy enough compared to some other budget displays I own from Sceptre and WD. There havent been any dead pixels in the month Ive had it, and the 1440p resolution on a 27 inch monitor is slowly becoming my preferred desktop resolution. Overall its a 9/10 display that is more than capable of displaying high-quality, high-FPS content, with good brightness, all at an affordable price.
