Got this to take to family reunion so we could share photos. Was able to scan photos and open them on the computer so everyone who wanted a copy could have one. Easy to use.

I liked the LCD screen which gave me an idea what I was scanning. The operation was easy but the scan quality was poor. I spent 2 hours scanning 300+ photo only found that there were strips on most of the scanned images. I used the plastic folder included in the package to avoid dust of old photo. The scanner was supposed to crop the image automatically but it was not perfect. Half of the time I have to re-crop in my PC. Last but now the least, the resolution (300 dpi)is too small. A 3x5 photo will give you less than 2M pixels - not very good for reprint. A sub-$100 digital camera can give you 12M pixels resolution easily these days. Because of above, I use Giinii to scan my bills which do not need high quality scanner. Now, I use my digital camera to photo my old pictures and process the pictures in computer. I have to spent some time setting up and do re-crop afterwards but pictures quality is much better and it takes less time capturing pictures.

Its very easy to use. But the image quality is less than I had wished for. Image looks like it has streaks running though it. Did NOT improve after cleaning it and going though the troubleshooting guide that came with it.

The GiiNii scanner lived up to its description. Upon opening the package I scanned over 1500 photos when my parents visited and it worked great! For the price, you cant beat it!

I have purchased several picture scanners and this one is my favorite. It is so handy because of the viewer!

Great Product! I have used this scanner a lot now and never have had any issues with the scanning. I recommend this product.

Like a lot of people who grew up taking old school film pictures, I had album upon album full of pictures. They lived in the closet filling super heavy totes. This was fine until I decided to move across the country and needed to leave them behind at my parents (thank goodness for their ample storage and high tolerance for my junk). I needed a good way to scan all the analog pics and chose this scanner based on function, price and reviews. I wasnt sure if it would live up the task but it handled all 2500+ items I scanned over the course of my visit home. The image quality is good and it was easy to use. Now all of those pics live happily on a little card in my new home and my mom has a slightly used but awesome little scanner as payment for her space.

Pretty much what I expected. I have started to digitize all of my photos. This is certainly doing what I need. Does not take too long to scan
