Google Nest Cam Weatherproof Cable for Nest Cam (Battery) Only - 720p -Snow - 5m

The cable looked great when it arrived and when I unpacked it, but the end that attaches to the camera doesn’t stay in the camera securely (I have other cables that do), so I can’t charge with it or leave it in the camera as a plug in. Thankfully I installed my cameras within the return period so that I can get a replacement.

Wanted a spare charging cable. Works as it should. No problems.

Provided cable was indoor rated. ORM quality.

I bought 2 Google nest cameras and gave one to my don. He needed a charger for it.

I used the cable for charging the cam permamently to the electricity

Does what it’s supposed to do

Direct sunlight for 7 hours everyday and a lot of rain hasn’t peeled at all still looks brand new.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars. It’s because I think they should offer more sizes. I bought the 10m, I needed 6m. I just hate the extra wire bulk. I think they should have something between 5m and 10m. Besides that personal issue I recommend it.

I thought it was a poor redesign, adding a power cable to a battery-operated device just to use AC. The original, I have one, was just hard wired no battery. The new version is now battery driven; you add a hard wire to use AC power. I understand that battery is a now a backup backup... the design should have been to keep it a hardwired device and add a battery to it. We use the camera for our Cottage security.

The cord seems durable and it works well. My only complaint is that I think they could provide a way to wind or store the cord better.
