The plug can be inserted either direction, but only one way will charge your camera. The cable is angled, so the correct way makes the camera cable stick out the front of the camera, rather than the rear. I just don’t know what they were thinking. The plug (camera side) is also VERY soft and fragile, so when you’re trying to snake it through a half inch hole, it gets easily damaged, forcing you to throw away a $40 cable and order a new one. Just poor design….

This cord is great, although I wouldve preferred the original nest camera after trying the one this cord goes to, the product sold here is perfect.

Taking down nest cams for charging was a pain, with loss of use during charging, and need to constantly resituate the cameras for best angle. Now we have the perfect solution with plug-in constant chargers. These provide more than adequate power supply with amply long cords. Very happy with this purchase!

You need a 1/2 hole to pass the camera connector through. Plus you have to be limber enough to contort yourself in your attic to run the cable. Other than that, its a piece of cake. No more climbing on the step stool to pull the camera and recharge the batteries. For the cameras, Im using the magnetic mount on a piece of steel that I siliconed to the aluminum facia.

This cord is perfect for keeping your nest on 24/7. Was able to use the long one to run from garage outlet, through the crawl space and outside to the camera with still some left over.

This does what it is supposed to do, but it is severely overpriced. This is just an extension cord with an end that fits into the bottom of your Nest cam. Hopefully, a generic version will come out that is more reasonably priced.
