Gran Turismo 6

Excellent

I brought Gran Turismo 6 off of here and it does not work. It keeps saying there is a error occurred during installation. Im not really happy.

I got the game without brochure

Would be nice to qualify for position instead of starting at the back. Just saying.

THIS IS THE ONLY GAME I PLAY

I got this game yesterday, so I obviously havent explored every aspect of the game. That said, I like the game so far. My general impression up to this point is that the game remains markedly similar to the previous iteration, but many slight improvements have been made that improve and hasten Career Mode. For one thing, the menu layout in Career Mode has been simplified, and I find that navigating from races to the garage to the tuning shop is a much quicker and less aggravating experience. Loading time also seems shorter, which comes at a pleasant surprise.

Let me get the gripe about the first few hours of this game out of the way really quick. This game is only six months old, and popping it into the console, youre prompted to update to version 1.8 (really? more than 1 update per month?)...click OK and find that the first of seven updates is 1.2GB! ! ! Ummm...cancel. Turns out the total updates are more that 4GB large (possibly as high as 7GB, since each part of the update that I saw was at least 1,000mb large) . Thats insane. After playing for a few hours, I decided to go ahead and update the game, and downloading took well over 3 hours, and then when the game finally restarts, it goes through an installation process, with the timer currently saying 200 minutes remaining. Wow, it took all my strength to not take the disc out and go get my money back. Seriously, the game couldve waited 6 months so you can just release a complete product...a 7GB update is just ridiculous. This is comparable to the insane install time that Gran Turismo 5 forced.... and, I was so relieved to see that that issue was side stepped for an install-as-you-play model in 6, but releasing 7GB of updates afterwards is kind of counterproductive to the mission, no?

This is a great game but has some major downsize. The game and car selection is excellent but my biggest complaint, the installation. Let me tell you, if you DO NOT HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!! When you begin with the install I had to download a total of 14 updates and THE FILES ARE LARGE!!!!!!!! I tried on Christmas EVE at 6pm but PSN was down for a couple of days. So, I tried again on the Jan 2, 2015 at 8 am but received as error message and told me to try later. On Jan 3, 2015( 4pm) I tried the GT6 install and finally it worked. It listed all of the updates I would need to install this game a grand total of 14 updates(this sucks). So, I pressed the X button to begin and the downloads did not end until 12 am on Jan 3, 2015. Now the installation begins and did not end until 2 am in the early morning hours. After completing the game installation I went to bed. On the Jan 4, 2015 was the first time I tried to play this game and it was GRRRREAT!!!!!!!! The graphics top notch and game control bar none. If you are into cars this game is s MUST OWN!!!!! The only down part is the installation on the PS3.
