> 3 dayThis is my 3rd Hakko soldering station over 30 years, all of them still working. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Cost a little more than most, but worth the peace of mind it will last.

> 3 dayBeen using this for about two months, and Im very pleased with it. The temperature control is excellent, and it is very comfortable to use. The included stand with sponge and scrubber is a nice touch and works well to keep the iron under control when not in use. The construction quality is very good, and it seems quite durable. Ive used this iron to solder some very small wires to circuit boards as well as some tiny surface-mount (SMT) chips, and it outperforms anything Ive owned before. Its sort of quirky looking, and adds some much needed character to my work bench.

> 3 dayAfter years of using regular soldering pencils, I decided to invest in this soldering station and am mighty glad I did! The unit reaches its target temperature almost immediately, and the lengthy cable between the iron and the station base is extraordinarily flexible and thus easy to use. The only complaint is what others have commented on in other reviews - it is a bit difficult to learn how to adjust the temperature, but once you do, its not bad. The digital temperature gauge is nice to have and quite easy to read. And the ON/OFF switch is located on the side, not in back, so that is easy to access.

> 3 dayI got this for my husband for Christmas. He said it is awesome!! He loves it!! The tip doesn’t corrode. The wire to the soldering iron doesn’t melt, he tested it, since it says in the description that it won’t. The heat output is very nice, you can melt huge blobs of solder with it. Very very nice soldering station.

> 3 dayHighly recommend this iron to beginner or pro. Its costs a little more than some, but the temperature control and feel of the iron are worth it.

> 3 dayThis Hakko replaced a Weller that served me well for several years. So far good performance from the Hakko. Heats up fast also.

> 3 dayThis is my second one as I have been disappointed in both. Dont heat compared to my X-Tronic one. I will not purchase another.

> 3 dayI didnt know what I was missing. My old station was hardly a station, no temperature sensing and kinda hot. This thing heats up fast and recovers well while keeping a low temp. But I have not even adjusted it for SMD stuff yet, so well see.
