I have a super destructive gelding that mouthed and pulls at everything food related. Ive only had this a few days and so far he hasnt been able to rip it. It has slowed down his pace of eating and I immediately noticed less wasted hay around his feeding area. I am using this to supplement the hay the barn feeds him. Hes food aggressive too so Im really hoping this will help him relax if there is always food available in his stall. I am able to fit 3 1/2 flakes of bermuda in it. Not quite a half bale but I just check it daily and fill it if gets low. I should mention that i love how easy it is to fill and that it came w/a strong hook for mounting. Great quality and worth the extra expense. Update: it’s been a year this month and he still hasn’t been able to destroy it! Not a single rip after daily feedings. Money well spent.

Small net that fit quite a bit of hay… I like how it opens and closes easier than my other slow feeder nets. Well made. We will see how it stands up in a few months.

At first, I was thrilled with everything about this hay net. I used it for less than two weeks when my old horse with tooth issues bit a whole in the bag. I am shocked it is tgat fragile. I have had the old style annoying hay nets and bags that aren’t slow feeders but don’t have big holes being bitten into them. I hope they can find a solution. Unfortunately, mine is going back to them with a big hole.

4 horses - some of them super tough on everything. These hay nets are everything you want them to be - a way for horses to enjoy their hay but slow them down, a method you can simply use and then walk away, and a very adaptable but sturdy, easy to fill and use set-up. Our horses are in outdoor paddocks with electric fence. So basically the hay nets are tied to trees in the paddocks. And the rope is super high quality, easy to tie, easy to untie, but shows no signs of wear and tear. Of 3 nets, one developed a hole, but it came with some extra string and that hole is now closed and staying closed. The hole size is perfect (have used the smaller one for minis too). HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

While more expensive you save in the long run but not buying multiple hay bags - this bag has survived a horse that can typically destroy a slow feed hay bag within a week.......

The bags are easy to fill, easy to carry because of the rubber grip and can hold a good capacity for my big guy.

I started purchasing these hag nets 1 1/2 years ago for my very easy keeper mustang gelding. In all my years of owning horses, this is the best hay net Ive ever used.
