Greater than one weekI got this plug for my bearded dragons lights as I will be out of state for a weekend and I cant torment her with keeping the lights on 24/7. I tried to see if I could turn the lights on and off from my office at work (literally not even 5 minutes away from my apartment) and it says the plug is offline. The automation I set up to turn the lights off at 12am and on at 9am, did not work. I was so excited for this to arrive because I would feel confident her lights would go on and off each morning and night but now I am terrified I will come back from my trip and my bearded dragon will be frozen to death if the lights havent turned on. If someone would be kind enough to help, that would be great but in the meantime...might have to put her through the pain of having her heat lamps and UVB light on for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I am gone. Wifi and internet speed consistently show they are top notch and full speed so there is no reason for this to be happening. Might have to return this and just go for a manual timer plug. I liked the remote one as I could have the security of knowing her lights were on and off every night.

17-11-2024So far I like it. But I cant say too much about the original HBN app, because I deleted it and I am currently using the Smart Life app instead. The instruction leaflet that the socket came with can use a little updating. It was confusing and it took several tries to add the smart socket to the app. The app itself was not too confusing, but it still took several tries to connect the device. Then when I went to link the socket to my Alexa it gave me an error in the Alexa app. It said the app was not current. Well I was not able to update the HBN app, possibly because it is the most recent version. Alexa then also gave me an option to switch to the Smart Life app. At first I thought oh is this the updated version and since I already had the app for my other sockets I use, I just switched over and everything just automatically linked after I connected the app to socket. What a breeze. It turns out the Smart Life app is a totally different app all together and it seems to serve as a catch-all app for many of the different brand devices out there. In fact the other sockets that I was already using the app for were for a totally different brand.

> 3 dayThis is a pack of 2 devices, each with 2 outlets. There are 4 outlets total that you can control individually. For the price, this is a great buy. Setup is also very very easy with your phone and Smart Life app. Of course, if your Smart Life app is registered with Alexa, you can control them with Alexa as well. You can set schedule for on/off via Alexa or device app. Like most of these types of smart devices, they only use 2.4ghz Wi-Fi which is very common in today’s home. Other things: + when each outlet is on, a red arrow light turns on, pointing to the active outlet. Not too bright. + when each outlet is off, the device switches on a single blue indicator arrow. Again, not too bright. + there is an audible click as each outlet is switched on/off + pressing the same individual arrows as stated above will manually switch each outlet on/off. + pairs easily with Alexa app. Alexa adds it as 3 devices. (1 device with 2 outlets = 3) Example: Living room with lamp1 and lamp2 Overall, a great deal vs buying 4 individual smart plugs/outlet . I do have single smart plugs and inevitably I wish there was a second outlet on it to use as an always on. These help deal with that and more.

> 3 dayI bought this so two electric toothbrushes could be plugged in and only use one outlet. My toothbrush stopped charging, so working with the toothbrush company, they issued another toothbrush. Then the other stopped working, and thats when I started doing research on the smart plug. I think its a stupid plug, and now its past the return date. Update: the company reached out to me and apologized for my experience and refunded me the full amount. They are a company of integrity and I applaud them for that. I would consider their product in the future, using it how its intended to be used.

> 3 dayIt has light indicators if it’s on or off. The apps can control wall plug and extension plug. You can control each plug in the two outlets. App has count down and specify time schedule. It can have many schedule for each plug. You can control many outlets and give it a name to organize. I bought one to start and I have three of them and an outdoor extension. Good price! Support good product and seller!

Greater than one weekI cant find any instructions that seem to work. I will keep trying as I think they will be great should I get them synced. Having trouble with Alexa/Amazon account syncing too.

> 3 dayI have three of these now. It is so easy to just say Alexa turn on the christmas lights and everything goes on at one time.

> 3 dayIt was a little difficult in setting up. There should be better instructions in how to get the bluetooth setup.
