Head and Shoulders Shampoo Old Spice Pure Sport, 21.9 Fl Oz, Twin Pack

If your body chemistry doesn’t mix well with “cool water cologne” then this may not be the scent you want. It’s an older cologne from the 90’s I don’t even know if it is made any longer. This shampoo does work at relieving dandruff. You get a great deal for you money. But again, while it smells nice to some others may not care for this.

I have used Head and Shoulders products for years. Like many people, I have mild dandruff and the active ingredient in Head and Shoulders products - pyrithione zinc - keeps it at bay. My shampoo of choice has always been the apple-scented version of their dandruff shampoo with conditioner. So I was happy to try out this new product to see how it stacks up against my old standby. First of all, I can say that it works just as well as their other products. After just over a weeks worth of use I have no dandruff and my hair is nice and clean. I do like this product buy Im taking off a start for two things that I dont like and one that might be a problem for female users. The first issues is the scent. Personally, I dont mind it but female users will likely find it too masculine. Most women would probably stay away anyway since Old Style is a mens product. But in case you were wondering, I can say definitively that this scent is a strong, masculine one and it will stay with you for hours after showering. The scent disperses more slowly than some of their more muted scents (like green apple). Another issue with this shampoo is that is does NOT contain conditioner. This is likely not a deal-breaker for most people but I do prefer my shampoo to contain both so I dont have to use two different products on my, admittedly, scant amount of hair. Finally, and probably the thing that I dislike the most is this shampoo is really, REALLY foamy. Its way foamier than Head and Shoulders other products. Its almost as if they took their shampoo and, rather than simply adding the Old Spice scent, they went ahead and added the body wash formula as well. It seems so much foamier that it seems there is more soap in this product than their normal shampoos. It takes more water to rinse off and sometimes I will be standing in an inch of foam if I use too much; the foam expands so much that it is slow to drain. Its crazy foamy. Bottom line I do recommend this shampoo with the above reservations. If you like strong, masculine scents and dont mind really foamy shampoo, by all means give this one a try. It will keep your dandruff at bay and will leave your hair shiny and smelling nice. Its another winner from an old standby.

My husband has some problems with dandruff and eczema so he was always trying different shampoos that didn’t leave his hair dry nor with more dandruff. He has been using Selsum but hasn’t quite work for him so we were happy to review this shampoo from Head & Shoulders with the scent of Old Spice Sport. I have to say my husbands hair comes smelling good after a shower. He has notice some good results as the dandruff is completely gone although still makes hair a bit dry. Other than that is a great shampoo for good results on dandruff or scalp problems.

Using Head & Shoulders once or twice a week keeps scalp healthy. Old Spice ~ love it

For me, Head and Shoulders still is the best shampoo for helping with my dry scalp and dandruff. This is another great product that does exactly what I need. Its thick and its scent is not overly annoying. It doesnt take a lot of product to clean my hair so these bottles should last me a long time. Recommended!

A big problem with heavy duty shampoos that remove dandruff is the scent. This smells way better than any shampoo i have used. I had pretty bad dandruff, it was so annoying and caused by my scalp drying towards the colder weather. I cant rave about it enough. The twin pack is a great deal. It feels so great to feel the relief after the wash and it doesnt dry out har at all. I use a little bit of conditioner or a drop of oil and my hair is so much healthier.

I hemmed and hawed over lowering my rating to 4 stars because you really need a pump dispenser on this larger size bottle. Its awkward to hold its so wide and heavy. My husband already dropped it in the shower and broke the pop off cap. Head and Shoulders works great on my husbands itchy winter scalp. He has little to no flakes, his scalp gets dry from the winter heat and frequent shampoos, H&S helps the itchy dry issues. He prefer no built in conditioner and I think thats just because he is a man and real men do not need conditioner. He is against 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 shampoos. The Old Spice Pure Sport is a nice scent that men or women could enjoy. Its a fresh clean smell more geared to men but I know my twenty odd year old daughter loves these scents.

These are the big bottles and this shampoo smells fantastic! I got this for my boyfriend who suffers from itchy scalp and dandruff. It works just as good as the regular Head & Shoulders but this smells so much better. The scent is very masculine much like the deodorant scents for Old Spice. I like that this came in the larger sized bottles and the two pack is perfect for my household.
