> 3 dayThis book was recommended by my child’s psychologist and I am more than pleased with this book! As a parent I am struggling with my dragon and sometimes so feel like I’m all alone in not knowing how to best help him. My dragon is highly anxious and has meltdowns daily however he was able to connect that Diggory Doo the dragon is just like him. When we read the book together for the first time I cried because it hit home in so many ways, but it also gives techniques that your dragon can use to help deal with his or her anxiety. It’s one thing for a parent to say count to ten or take some deep breaths, but when my dragon saw it in the book it like the lightbulb went off. Now, does he still have meltdowns- absolutely however I remind him of Diggory Doo and some points from the book. I have also purchased three other books and will order the remaining books we do not have very soon. This series is great for parents, but even more for our struggling dragons. Thank you Steve Herman for this series and helping my wonderful little dragon!

25-11-2024The idea is cute but this is not really useful for helping kids understand anxiety or how to help them “tame” it.

> 3 dayThe book is a little helpful. Not a miracle worker but I appreciate how it gives my son a way to talk about the dragon feeling anxious without directly talking about a human boy feeling anxious. Another book I tried was of an anxious boy and my son couldn’t handle that one. Made him more nervous. Next I’m going to try the separation anxiety book

> 3 dayCute book, might be a little too mature for my 4-year-old since it talks about test anxiety. Only issue is the printing was a little off on it and the words are cut off the top or near the very top of the pages.

30-11-2024The story and concepts are way too simplistic. No tools are offered to a child. No real coping skills or concepts to help a child who is anxious. The idea of training a dragon to concur anxiety could be useful, but this is so poorly executed there is no benefit. I am a mental health professional & I have other childrens books that do a much better job. This was a waste of money.
