> 3 dayLove these books because they keep my kid engaged in the story and she learns at the same time. I love when she does the things she learns in this series in real life on her own.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent book. The situations the dragon faces in the book were exactly the situations I was hoping to address with my child, and it helped spark some good conversations. It was honest without being too heavy for a young kid, just the right length for a bedtime story, and provided some advice/tools for the child to keep in mind when their anxious feelings get the best of them. We learned its okay to feel anxious like the dragon, but there are choices that we can make when we feel anxious that will help us move forward.

29-11-2024My daughter is 3. While I agree that most of the content in the book is geared towards school-aged kids, my daughter was mesmerized by the getting shots part, and she asked to read about it many times. She remembers how she was afraid to get a flu shot in the fall, so shes definitely using the book to process it. Unexpectedly, I myself loved the book! That spread where the dragon says what if I cant, does a somersault, and says what if I can is so cool. My habitual behavior is finding excuses in order not to things, but now I bring up that picture in my mind and it helps me to act bolder! Update: My daughter is now 3 years and 11 months. We brought up the need to get our flu shots soon, and she said she doesnt want to. We agreed to re-read this book about Diggory Doo to prepare. On the day of she was very proud that she got the shot the first of the family, she distracted herself by thinking about something nice (a gingerbread man in her case!), and she didnt cry at all.

> 3 dayThe idea is cute but this is not really useful for helping kids understand anxiety or how to help them “tame” it.
