This is an excellent book. The situations the dragon faces in the book were exactly the situations I was hoping to address with my child, and it helped spark some good conversations. It was honest without being too heavy for a young kid, just the right length for a bedtime story, and provided some advice/tools for the child to keep in mind when their anxious feelings get the best of them. We learned its okay to feel anxious like the dragon, but there are choices that we can make when we feel anxious that will help us move forward.

Love these books because they keep my kid engaged in the story and she learns at the same time. I love when she does the things she learns in this series in real life on her own.

I read this book to a small group and also use it in individual sessions. Ive used it several times with students who have anxious feelings at school. It also helps those who dont feel anxious about school understand what others are going through. Steve also sends out emails with easy steps on how to draw different dragons. The kids love this.

Perhaps its because I am a writer so Im more critical, but this book is SO unnecessarily wordy and terribly written. We can do better for books like this! My kindergartener lost interest right away and now wont even look at the thing. Glad it helped some kids. Mine was definitely disinterested.

My 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter love the dragon books. My son has ADHD and anxiety. He really connected with this book, it was the first one in the series that we purchased. We now have all of them on Kindle! We read them at least 4-5 times a week, he picks which one based on his feelings that he had that day! He will read them over and over! Illustrations are great, as well as the message! Thank you Steve Herman!
